Honestly the Supernatural fandom just feels tolkienesque.

This fandom is old Very old And full of memories You can frolic in the Shire section of the fandom and make silly jokes about moose, completely unaware of the great, erudite discussions about character developments, redemption arcs and metaphorical symbolism that go on in the Elvish realm of the fandom.

If you skid off the Tumblr path for a second, you suddenly end up in swamps of sexual fantasies and perversions with hashtags I had to google because I had no idea…. like holy shit some of you guys really sail on crazy boats

And when you dig … dig deep… you come across horrors from the darkness demons from the ancient world Absolutely batshit insane Balrog wars of faith over the actors - the ACTORS!! not the characters, the ACTORS!- and their eventual relationship with each other. People blocking and bullying each other in Black Speech, literally cursing one another. I love this fandom. Big family and stuff like that, all true. But. Some of us really really might need some fresh air and a nice piece of real life.
