[ CROWDED ] - It looks like with the outdoor venue, some stowaways and uninvited guests have entered the ball, and the already crowded event has become even more bustling. With crowds like this, you find it all too easy to bump into other people, and before you know it, you completely knock another person over!
Ike just wanted a drink. It was a party, right? Might as well enjoy the offerings.
Except the crowds were dense, and Ike struggled to push past them, even at his size. He squeezed in when he could, but the tide of the crowd pushed and pulled. Eventually, some drunk idiot pushed him, knocking Ike off balance.
He fell backwards against a wall. Wait a second; there were no walls here. He turned to look, but saw no wall, only a ghost.
"What?" Ike's eyes widened. "You're dead," he said stupidly.
Like a boulder in the middle of a stream, Dheginsea holds strong against the growing current of the crowd. His feet ironed willed to the soft sand bellow. Unmoving and solid, buying his time on went to step and when to wait.
But with moving too and from different stations to keep watch on those by the shore, he supposed it was only a matter of time before someone would crash into him given the growing crowds. Regardless of the precaution he had taken.
However, though he does not budge, a brow of his had slightly quirked upward as Dheginsea turned to see who it was that had crashed into him. Finding it rather.. odd to see the beorc commander from the tower here of all places.
“Clearly not, as you can see.” He says as a matter of fact, which it is, though Dheginsea knows well what beorc means.

First Say’ri and the crab, then Camila, and soon Chrom.
Dheginsea feels almost.. disappointed with how quickly most have been eliminated in the second round alone. One of which he finds reasonable, though her excuse poor and questionable. But the other two… crab or not, both should have tried harder.
Like Niles beside him.
The announcer calls his name, before shouting the move he is it to take with a bit too much enthusiasm.
Head.
A move different from last year’s game. As instead of just moving his left foot, for the first time the once Dragon King now had to put his head on the ground. Between sand that lay on the white space of the mat.. and Darios’ own head and foot on the blue tile…
Red eyes considers the odd beorc for a moment, acknowledging the bizarre pose he had not witnessed the other bring himself to. But only for a moment, quickly disregarding Darios presences once again for his senses sake.
Crowded as the middle of the mat was becoming, Dheginsea kneels down and leans most of his weight off his bad leg. It having been the reason for his elimination last year, he is resolved not make the same mistake again.
Though in his caution perhaps Dheginsea had leaned a bit too much on to his right. For even without having put his head down on the blue tile- like watching two wyverns collide in the air- It is too late the moment Dheginsea realizes that he is tipping forward too fast and too far to one side… directly towards Darios.
Dheginsea rolls 2d20, taking lowest = 11, 7. WATCH OUT!! Er- I mean HES OUT!

[ DESTINY GROTTO ]
In between caring for students, Sephiran seeks out an old friend.
“Dheginsea…” A pause upon seeing the other’s attire. Had he gotten a size too small? A moment of confusion, and nothing more- Sephiran would not judge the dragon on his choices. Let him do as he pleases; some beorc wore far more revealing attire. “Ahem. Dheginsea, I hear there’s a grotto nearby.”
Voice drops, growing softer. “They say that if you look long enough, the waters will reflect your soulmate. Strange, isn’t it?”
He smiles, but it is fragile.
“Don’t you want to see them again?”
Dheginsea greeted Sephiran with a slight nod as he approached, then looked elsewhere the moment his old friend noticed his.. shirt situation. Finding it rather embarrassing to have given his friend a pause at his attire. Though grateful he is that Sephiran does not mention it, the question he does asks instead is a delicate one. So much so that Dheginsea finds himself staring at the evening sky. Uncertain, for a moment.
Does he want to see them again?
His soulmate…
His queen.
Dheginsea has never been one to so easily believe rumors or hearsay, and he doubts such thing is possible. But.. if given the chance to see her face once again after so long…
….
No.
That would be a terrible idea. For them both to each own respectively.
Even if Dheginsea still does miss his queen dearly, an ever so small part of him is.. terrified that he might have forgotten something about her. The shade of her hair or the exact shape of the mark above her brow.. The thought alone threatens to open an old wound his heart had not quite healed from in the centuries since the birth of his youngest- Her last gift to him…
But Sephiran?
….
Letting out a sigh, Dheginsea turns to look at his friend. The fragileness of the other’s smile plain and visceral. And for once the dragon is not certain how such a thing would affect him.
“Do you know of where this grotto is? Dheginsea asks, crossing his arms over his chest. “I have my doubts that its waters hold such power. But if you want to go.. then I am willing to join.”
If this is Sephiran’s way of finding a reason to go and visit the grotto.. then the least he could as a friend is to allow him this chance. The consequences of which- should they be for the worse- Dheginsea could deal with it later. Should such rumors hold themselves true.

Dheginsea had stood straighter when his ears had caught the name of a recent event occurring just down the shore. Twister. A simple beorc game.. and the one he had been defeated in last year. Eliminated in the most humiliating way possible…
Parting through the gathering crowds, Dheginsea makes his way and steps up to the wheel, casting a brief glance at the mat with stern determination. Of all the opponents already on the mat, Dheginsea only recognized two. One of which is a young man he'd rather not approach, much less get near. The other, Camilla, the woman who had kissed the back of his head and had eluded him since…
“Dheginsea of Goldoa” He finally announces, giving the wheel a light yet firm spin. Undeterred by one of its participants.
Dheginsea spins the wheel. Roll 1d5: Left Leg.
Dheginsea strides with confidence to the designated yellow tile the wheel had stopped on, placing his left foot down with all the seriousness of a commander. His will solid and unwavering. Though a simple beorc game, truly, it is one Dheginsea had learned to not underestimate despite its simple actions.
He will not make a fool of himself again.. and slip.
Though the dragon could only hope that his left leg wouldn't fail him once more.
Politely ignoring Darios'.. existence, he turns to look at his fellow faculty member. “Camila, It has been a while.. You do remember who I am, no ?"

[ ROW BOAT ] - Small row boats that can seat two people each are available to be ridden by those who wish to enjoy the waters in a more intimate way. Impress your date or friend with your muscles as you steer them through the waters!
"My king," Nasir approaches the black dragon carefully, taking precuation to not dirty the hem of her dress. She follows his gaze towards the small rowboats, steered by students who barely knew what they were doing from the looks of it, "Keeping an eye on the children now; are you? What a dutiful guardian you make, sire."
Red eyes briefly glance over to the white dragon before dutifully returning to watch the student in the water. Not bothering to greet Nasir through his usual means.
"Quite," Crossing his arms over his chest, Dheginsea gives a particular rambunctious pair of students a stern look as they once again attempted to ram their rowboat into others. “Yet I see you among the attendees. Did Kurthnaga change his mind?“ he asks as he begins to walk towards an empty rowboat on the beach.
Although Dheginsea is thankful for Nasir’s help in managing to procure his attire at such a short notice. He is slightly.. disappointed to see Nasir here.

Ethereal Ball 2025 BEACH TIME
Dheginsea had first thought that this years ball would not occur given the damage the monastery had suffer 2 months prior. Even with the change of venue, Dheginsea had planned not to attend this year. But it seemed that fate had other plans, for as the date of the event neared closer, he had been suddenly asked to assist in its security as staff.
Which Initially did not bode well.. given the sate of his wardrobe... Lucky, with the help of a certain someone, he managed to arrive with an appropriate outfit in time. Even if it was a little.. tight and plain.
Turning the small starfish bracelet he had been given between his finger, Dheginsea looks out to the coastline. From sand to the rocky outcrops here and there, it reminded him of home, if a little. Though he finds it odd that as security he had been given this bracelet and expected to participate in the exchange game these beorc events seem to love…
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OUTFIT: He wishes he could button up the shirt all the way up. Alas... he is unable to.

Dheginsea turned to address the person that had decided to enter, unbothered by the others' intrusion as there was much to intrude onto given the state of his room. But a brow of his does quirk up at the extended hand the branded man offered, as the dragon had expected to be told to leave, if not ushered away.
"Is that so? Very well." Dheginsea pocketed his son’s gift before giving the hand a solid and firm two shakes. His interest piqued, from this branded man's approach to his sly yet subtle directness in his recruitment for his help.
From what Dheginsea remembered, this was the same man who had gone on almost every supply mission during the majority of their stay in that bunker. A detail he had only noticed given the frequency the dragon had seen him bring in supplies and funds alike.
Regardless, the approach alone was enough. For if Dheginsea had sleeves left to roll up, he would, as it was better to get busy than to stand around and do nothing.
“That it would. Though I don't suppose you have a broom with you.” He gave the rubble by the hole a glance, then looked to the wooden support pillars that had impaled his bed– a bed he had paid to replace the much smaller one that had been there before.
“You said you intend to keep things true to how they were before. Yet, you wish to prioritize comfort for those among us that are to stay during the majority of the repairs. Does that not contradict your intent?” He asked, taking a step towards the hole, then stopped as a not so crunchy noise comes from under his boot
Looking down, Dheginsea finds more torn fabric. However Its pieces were smaller in size and different from the usual colours his wardrobe had held..
Ah.. that's right.
"Pardon me if this is sudden, but I must apologize. I never got the chance to return your cloak." Though admittedly a ridiculous to say while surrounded by debris in a partly destroyed room, Dheginsea felt a bit guilty.
He had been meaning to give back the cloak this man had given him that one cold afternoon, but.. alas, it too lay torn in pieces now. The best he could do was at least apologize for it. Even if the circumstances of its destruction were out of his hands.
Then a Real Estate Agent showed up

It takes some considerable amount of effort for Dheginsea to not shake his head at how terrible Caspar’s lie was. Truly the worst. Just horrible.
As much as this mission served as a way for the student to learn, Dheginsea was seriously considering that perhaps this student in particular needed to observe more and talk less.
A loud beastly shriek cuts through before Dheginsea has the chance to chime in and add some modicum of credibility to the student’s lie. Who, without a proper discussion or a plan, simply decides to throw the barn doors wide open.. Very quickly coming face to face with a wyvern the size of a ox, staring at the door that no longer impeded its path from the outside world. Having all but a flimsy looking chain to hold it in place.
As wide open as the door had been thrown, Dheginsea simply closes it again with one hand and easily pulls Caspar back with the other before bracing himself. Expecting the animal to slam against the door in an attempt to burst out.. but nothing comes. Instead, he hears.. licking.. followed by another animalistic shriek from within, then a heavy weight that leaned more and more on the door…
Letting go of the student, Dheginsea places his other hand flat on the wooden structure, to better keep the gate shut. For in the few seconds he had glanced at the inside of the barn beyond the beast while he pushed the injured farmhand out of his way, he had noticed that the flimsily chained was secured to an empty cart...
With a slow turn of his head, Dheginsea’s brow furrows as he stares harshly down at the farmhand- whose lips press themselves into a thin line as the beorc’s nervous gaze repeatedly jumps between him and the student, as if holding his breath. Before settling on Caspar, pointedly not wanting to look at the stern face of a seven foot man.
“Oops?” The farmhand says with an awkward smile, not so subtly shuffling bit by bit away from the pair. The muffled gnawing noises from within the barn not helping.

As Dheginsea listened, his opinion of Lapis mellowed, if a little. Even with her tendency to say whatever came to mind. For it doesn't take much for him to notice that she does not speak with panicked or empty flattery through her fondness of the people she knew where she came from.
Admittedly, Dheginsea hadn’t noticed just how wound up the girl had been till she had hastily coiled up once more. Awkward yet less rash, almost jagged and off-kiltered compared to how she had been but a second ago in her reminiscence.  As though embarrassed.. or perhaps she had remembered that it takes two to hold a conversation.
Regardless, Dheginsea hadn't forgotten why she had approached him in the first place, and he sees no reason to prolong this any longer.
“It was nice to meet you too, Lapis. Here” Dheginsea holds out his brooch for Lapis to trade her own feather with. “You’ve met my requirements and I'm inclined to trade my feather with your identical one. Though, I advise you to not take the same approach with others as you had initially with me.” He reminds

Even with the tension that came with the tears in the sky having been quelled- if not soothed once the phenomenon had disappeared. the remains of chaos still linger; of fear and unrest from the months prior. But with those that have left having now returned once more, an air of calm seemed to have settled around the grounds of Garreg Mach.
So Dheginsea finds himself within the marketplace of Garreg Mach, having been relieved of his previous duties he had been assigned to cover for those that had left for the expedition that had returned. Finalizing what items he need purchase per the request of some returning professors.
What he does not expect is to find Sephiran suddenly appear beside him, who Dheginsea calmly greets with a slight tilt of his head, despite the surprise.
“You may.” He says, placing a wrapped item he had purchased into a bag. But as he watches his friend give their surroundings a glance, Dheginsea notices a familiar look to his eyes that he has not seen in quite some time. So at Sephiran's murmured request, Dheginsea merely gives him a slight nod before he turns, a sign for the other to follow as he leads him elsewhere.
While they could find a small space somewhere nearby, with the clouds that gathered in the distance… Dheginsea would rather not be outside when it would inevitably downpour.
-
Opening the door to his dorm, Dheginsea allows Sephiran to enter first before closing it behind them. "Now then, what is it that you wish to speak to me about?" He asks, offering his friend the chair by his work desk should he wish to sit down.

Dheginsea freezes as he looks down at the older dragon with a surprised face. Taking a good few seconds to register just what had happened, from the fall to the tears.
Shocked that he made the bigger dragon cry.
"I didn't mean to- I- stop crying!" Dheginsea yells, hurrying over to the crying kid side, not quite sure what to do as he reached a hand out to him before quickly pulling it back.
Rarely did he ever get the chance to play with dragons close to his age. As spread out as they are, not many visited the island he lived on. But it.. it made him uncomfortable not to know what to do- to never have been told what to do in case this happened- and this never has happened... Making his chest feel like it was being squished the more he hesitated to do anything. Uncertain.
Dheginsea shakes his head. No. They're supposed to be sneaky, not loud and crying! They're supposed to escape!
With a small breath in he hovers over the other, resolved to try again because Dheginsea really doesn't like this feeling by his chest the longer the other cried.
"I'm sorry, I didn't do it on purpose and.. and 'm not a meanie." He stomps foot down, tiny hands balling into fists. Brows knitting with concern from behind Dheginsea's bangs. "That didn't even hurt you, so stop crying! Get up... Big dragons aren't suppose to cry..." He gives a worrying glance to the beorc that is supposed to be watching them and the other beorc children with them here.

“Very well.” Dheginsea followed Lambert as he guided him to his office. Placing the rest of the boxes on the same table, before sitting down on the chair his colleague had pulled for him. A bit puzzled as to how a simple question became serious and a personal matter.
No, the church had not given him any such briefings. In truth, he hadn't looked much into certain topics regarding Fodlan since awakening here in this foreign continent. Though, Dheginsea had heard and seen the word ‘Crest’ on the occasion before. At the time, he had assumed it was a regular ensign or heirlooms, thus ignoring it as it did not affect him nor was it something he was particularly looking for.
Evidently crests held another meaning here.. it is why Dheginsea had asked, and he can see how much it weighed on Lambert. But regardless of the precaution his colleague had taken just a moment ago, the branded man should have been more careful than to have brought it up earlier if truly such information could put his life in danger…
“You have my word.” Dheginsea gave a solemn nod. “I won’t tell a soul. However, perhaps I should explain what a laguz and beorc is first, and how you, like some others, fit into neither. Then you can decide how much you wish to tell me, if you would like.”
Dheginsea is no stranger to secrets, in keeping or fabricating lies to protect them. While he’s honored that Lambert trusts him enough to confide and be willing to tell him, there is more to this secret he need not tell to explain, surely.
