He isn't "a kid" when you speak of cWilbur's "heroism" putting him in the line of fire, giving up his life for the fate of L'manberg, leading to more and more traumatic events that haunt him. He's only "a kid" in exile because it allows you to paint the tragic story of this poor little child with no agency and big bad evil Dream who didn't let anyone visit him and oh how tragic how terrible come gawk at the tragic story of a teenager being abused while I pretend I wasn't one of the adults who failed him. Shut up about cTommy's pain.

so ive been thinking about making a new comic about a post game au where the guardians are revived by sburb when they get to the new universe? idek but anyway i was way too lazy to make it a full comic so heres a few crucial panels i guess

I am thinking about how in post-canon, we see that Dave, Jade, and Karkat are supposed to reflect Dirk, Jake, and Jane.

Karkat takes the place of Jane, Dave takes the place of Jake, and Jade takes the place of Dirk.

Both have an extremely isolated character who didn’t have much interaction with other people except for one person (Dave with Bro, Jake with Grandma English) and was awkward socially and didn’t really know how to interact.

Then, we have an overly clingy person who has never had any contact with someone (except for extremely early stages of their life) who finds an object of attention and instantly latches on, continuously “bugging them” and overall just… something.

Then, we have someone yearning for said extremely isolated character who didn’t have interaction with anyone except for one person who was socially awkward, and was crushing hard.

And, in the end, the isolated, socially awkward character, chose the overly clingy person. And, if I remember correctly, in both cases they felt like they had to, because it was someone they knew so it felt like an obligation. Though I do not remember that much on that part.
