This is messy and I don't even know exactly what I mean by this but I feel like sapphic things and aesthetics have become so soft and desexualized and the desire to combat patriarchy and not see women as merely "sexual objects" has looped around to being homophobic again by insinuating that wanting to fuck women is inherently violent and specifically a MALE desire, so masculine women feel ashamed of this desire and the only way to make it make sense is to conclude that they ARE men on the inside.

there is something very sinister about changing the definition of lesbian for the purpose of “being inclusive” because that argument operates on the assumption that lesbianism and lesbians exist to include. it was never about inclusion. lesbianism is exclusive by nature and if u have a problem with that then you’re just voring the rape culture boot at this point because newsflash: you are not entitled to lesbians, their bodies, or their emotions

finding enjoyment in horror movies that seem to only brutalize women for a majority of their run time is a huge red flag and it’s extremely disgusting.
“most disturbing horror movie of all time” and it’s just brutalizing women😒😒

men are literally out here making tiktoks that call all women who like to read PORN ADDICTS just bc some women like to read romance novels that have like 3% smut content. meanwhile like 95% of them are watching "teen slut gets anal gang bang by bbc" on the daily, which-as opposed to just being words on a page-involves the actual abuse of young women. and I'm supposed to NOT tell them to kill themselves in response...

quick psa: purity culture is indoctrination that teaches women that their bodies are dirty and that they belong to their future husband only.
purity culture is not criticizing an artist for a problematic album cover that glorifies the degradation of women
purity culture is criticizing female artists for being sexual beings, it is not criticizing them for problematic behavior

Great article by Kitty Robinson about whose pain matters, and whose doesn’t, in the “queer” community.

"Kill all men" people arent "literally calling for a genocide" because a genocide of men will never realistically happen. There is genocide of women that is like actually real though. Done by men.

"I don't feel like a girl" "I don't feel like a boy"
There isn't a specific way to feel as a girl or boy. Patriarchy has been forced to us how we're supposed to "act" in order to fit the patriarchal standard. Anyone can be feminine or masculine, anyone doesn't have to be feminine or masculine, it's okay to not "fit" in a gender stereotype. The point is we're not supposed to, we're just humans.

i'm a (diagnosed autistic) dyke and i promise you. negative attention from men in public, constant pressure to alter your NATURAL appearance, etc are far more damaging and stressful to my psyche than my leg and armpit hair ever could be...
(can't reblog this)

Why aren't autistic men removing their body hair? Why don't they complain about these same sensory issues?
It's not that I don't believe you, I just need you to understand that it is the removal process (shaving/waxing) that is the source of the discomfort. It changes the tip of the hair, and makes it feel coarse on skin. Many women started removing their body hair when they were very young, so they don't know any different and believe that body hair is inherently uncomfortable.
It doesn't make sense for body hair to inherently be uncomfortable, and somehow only to women. Men AND WOMEN!!! have grown body hair since forever, and removing it is a recent phenomenon. There is no documentation of it bothering people before then.
