I would probably choose Trump. While it is true that they are both fascist and authoritarian, it is not true that they are both theocrats. Trump is secular while Cruz is a fundamentalist Christian.
If I had to choose between Cruz and Trump, I’d choose a gun in my mouth.

NASA is about to have its largest budget boost in a decade. This is a relief since congress just a year or so ago was considering cancelling the James Webb Space Telescope. What is NASA’s budget? 17.5 Billion dollars annually. Sound like a lot? Compare that to the annual spending on military to gain a perspective. The US spends over 600 Billion on military annualy. We spend more on military than every single other nation in the world combined, and by a considerable margin. You want to know the answer to solving our financial problems? Stop having a romantic fiasco with the idea of a huge military. We elect individuals to Congress so that they may represent our interests. If we could take just 1/6 of the military spending and put it toward education and universal health care, we would still have the world biggest scariest military. We are the only developed nation to not provide healthcare as a right. Same goes for college education. But, when America isn’t involved with a war, it gets sad. If we stop invading other nations, we have to start thinking about things like fixing infrastructure, poverty, racial inequality, gender inequality, immigration, and money in politics. But no, we don’t focus on those things that we once pioneered in. We would rather send our youth to fight. America has been at war 222 years out of the 239 years it has existence. War is like the alcohol our nation drinks so that it doesn’t have to think about its own problems. Even worse, the war on drugs continues consuming trillions of American tax dollars and not to mention life sentences wasted for nonviolent drug offenders. How about this: legalize pot and tax it. Send the proceeds to NASA. That will get the kids fascinated with exploring the universe and the pot might make the adults feel the same. Want to know how to create jobs? Defund the military and put that money towards NASA. Back in the 60’s during the space race, people were lining up to even get the chance to learn about space. They were lining up to become astrophysicist and astronauts and rocket scientists and physicists and mechanical engineers and structural engineers. You know why? Because it is in our nature to explore. After we left Africa for the first time, what drove us to conquer Europe and Asia? It wasn’t a lack of resources. It was our curiosity for the unknown. When we set sail to the new world. When we delved into the depths of the ocean. When we landed on the moon. Now we set our sights on the cosmos and, for the first time in our 250,000 year history as a species, we are ready to set sail.

Hey TJ, does your family have a bigger problem with you being an atheist or being bisexual?
Well, they acknowledge my atheism. They won’t even talk about my bisexuality.
