Today's harvest 🥒 So the garden just has ish growing everywhere! These cucumbers were not there 3 days ago. We always get good results with cucumbers, but peppers are often a bust. I think we may have some this year though! I'm also looking for good sugar free brine recipes for my pickles. Would love some creative flavors. #longpostalert A little #facetofacefriday for ya. I have openly discussed my weight loss once (kinda twice) on social media. Today while working I listened to a YouTube video from @ceceolisa that made me realize I haven't discussed it fully out of fear. Fear of talking about it and failing, fear of being ostracized from the fashion community I love, fear that if I ever gained back it would become a reference point for "what happened to her". . . So I lost weight in (semi) silence, began working out in (semi) silence. When people see me in person I quickly downplay my weight loss. ... But if you see me in person it is very obvious I have lost a significant amount of weight. . . I've been in therapy working on being my authentic self in all aspects of my life. Authentic me would have been recording workouts and posting scale and #nsv (non-scale victories) consistently along the way. So I decided to reset myself today and talk openly about what I've been doing, why I'm doing/did it, my wins and set backs, my workouts and meals. . . My NSV (non scale victory) for today is being more open, honest and most importantly AUTHENTIC about this change in my life. And not that I think I'm that important... But if you have questions for me about it feel free to ask. Tonight's date night was special. We celebrate 2 years married tomorrow and I took my husband to a magic show. These last 2 years we've made magic happen through balancing job changes, our little girl growing up ( a middle schooler 🤦🏾‍♀️), finding our stride in the difference between boyfriend and girlfriend to husband and wife, my depression (which I believe in talking about openly... Get a therapist and Jesus), and getting healthy 👐🏾. To the man... The master magician who puts up with me listening to true crime podcast, my frivolous spending on random things that make me happy, my hoarding of discarded store props, my long bouts of silence while I daydream, my constant (in my head) career changes from master somelier to magician....
