👂🏾I heard somebody say it’s transformation Tuesday. 🤩 Y’all I didn’t know when I was going to post this. Have you ever been so ugh at yourself like “why y’all let me walk out the house like dat”!?!?!? Long post alert starting in 3..2..1… I went home to Kansas City to celebrate my mothers 50th birthday with family right. We had fun btw awesome time (shout out to the big sis (@donnise) for putting that together) trust me I had to throw her in there…. 👀😬🥴 So prior to my mothers birthday I had been traveling non stop like Covid where NOT HERE!!! During this time Covid variants were settling down (😒) so we were good to be outside outside. NOPE!!! Two days after we got back home to Atlanta we get a text saying “hey y’all, your cousin got a fever”…. So we like ok, stay hydrated. Next thing I know somebody else (I ain’t saying who bc some of y’all know these ppl and if they wanna tell the story imma let them) said I got a fever too 😒. Next thing I know I get another text (I’m at work btw) “I got a fever too” 🙄 at this point I threw my hands up and told everybody to stay away from me and to keep that over there!!! Little too late, I’m at work and I feel this heat rush down my back and I took a sec and thought… OH LORDT 😩😩!!! I done caught it through the phone, they done texted the fever to me JESUS!!!!! And this is where I end the story… 🤣🤣🤣 I’m not going to bore y’all with a bunch of reading because I’m going to do a video about it. Even though for some of y’all this the only reading y’all do!!! November is a straaaange month this year.... In both good and bad ways... #LongPostAlert Normally after Halloween we all get ready for Christmas and think about our plans for the new year. However, I thought about this year, I thought of how in London my first lockdown meant I could speak to my dad every day. I thought about the first weekend I really got to see my friends and that Sunday afternoon I got the call that I needed to go to Dominica. I thought about doing my covid test, the experience of filling out the survey to be allowed in to Dominica. The booking the trip process.... I thought about my wearing my mask and having to change it every 3 hours because i was on an 8 hour flight and the masks stop working after 4. I am so glad and grateful for this year. I rested, grieved, I've realigned myself, I've stayed in Dominica longer than I ever had since I was 7. (Those who don't I'm a legal British immigrant - quite proud of myself about that!) This week I've seen tweets about what people wanna do in 2021 and for me this is all that came to my head. I love travelling and I want to grab the bull by the horns. Nothing is holding me back anymore. I mean if a virus can do it - so can I right?! This year has taught me to love with no boundaries, forgive with no limits, rest with no guilt and dream my wildest dreams. I truly believe God has something great planned for each of us next year! But I dont think He is done with us with this year yet. How about a quick #testimony y'all?? #longpostalert I was trying to take advantage of an offer earlier via the #tmobiletuesday app to buy a pair of #powerbeatspro wireless headphones but the app keep "bugging" on me! So I called #tmobile to get it resolved and finish my purchase only to find out that the issue couldn't be easily resolved and I would just have to purchase the item outright for $249 plus tax. I thought about it & decided to check around first to see what was being charged in other places. I went online to check out #flexshopper only to find out they wanted $307 outright. I even checked a retail store in the #IAH airport called #soundbalance and they were selling them for $279 outright! Of course with that much variance in price, I decided to just wait & see what else I could discover. I ended up walking by a #bestbuyexpress #kiosk in the airport and checked to see if they had any! The kiosk had them #onsale for $199 plus tax! Guess what I did?? You sho'll right! I hurried up and jumped on that deal! LOLOLOLOL #moralofthestory Sometimes things may not work out like you want them to which may cause you to become #anxious for a #resolution to your #issue (no matter what it may be)! However, I want you to remember that #patience is a #fruitofthespirit as well! It MIGHT just be that GOD has something #better for you not far away but if you don't let Patience have her Perfect work (James 1:4), then you will end up paying more and, sometimes, getting less! #LONGPOSTALERT Sooo, I bought a Bora Portamate PM-3550 omnimovement mobile base last month.... If you know anything about these mobile bases, you know they are not even close to cheap. I got this mobile base because I want to be able to move heavy machinery in the shop without a whole bunch of rigamarow. I unbox this base and start putting it together (the assembly directions are terrible BTW). Once I finally figure out how to put it together, I put my piece of machinery on it... it doesn't fit (I decide to just use it on a different piece of machinery) and it also won't be still. So, with me being all about fixing stuff, I go about troubleshooting why it won't be still. I find that I didn't put the leveling feet down. Ok, not so difficult, right? WRONG! One of the leveling feet is stuck in the ascended position. I try different tools (some of which I go out to purchase) to get this foot to descend but still no such luck. So I get on the Bora website and contact customer service about the matter. They were pleasant enough and asked that I send pictures. I did as they asked and then I guess my matter got lost along the way so I called them. They apologized and said they would send me the leveling foot right out! Great, I thought to myself. No harm, no foul! But when I open the package they sent, I find new hardware and a new corner bracket but NO NEW LEVELING FOOT! For this mobile base to be so expensive, this should not be a problem in the first place but humans error happens. But when you email and speak over the phone with a customer service rep and get sent everything in the pictures except what you contacted them about it's just plain aggravating. I emailed them, again. I put pics of what I received in the email. Hello People!! #longpost #longpostalert How you been? I am at my maa's place for a little break ..which turned out to be a long 10 days break. I have been consciously over eating here and enjoying wearing her sarees. I have been missing her since January, so yeh break banta ha .. ♥️ The perks of being at maa ke ghar is not only eating good food but also wearing her beautiful sarees, which I totally adore. I was able to wear a few of her sarees for three important and intimate family functions. Before the day ends, let me share the beautiful sarees I wore for celebrating Handloom day !! . Images - 1,2,3 is hand woven cotton bengali tant saree with beautiful Resham work all over the saree along with a beautiful border. Paired it with a maroon and orange blouse and multicolored beads neck piece ma got for me a few yrs back. . Images - 4,5 is a very beautiful Raw Silk Saree With Khadi Weaving Pallu With Tassels.Topping on the cake is the fantastic Khadi Temple Weaving Border. Paired it with a beautiful orange hand loom blouse from different saree I got from @south_4u. (My purchase of Handloom saree online). Same multicolored neck piece along with a green thewa neck piece for a house party. . Images - 6,7,8,9 is again a hand woven cotton bengali tant saree with beautiful Resham and Zari work all over the saree the pallu is my most favorite part along with a beautiful border. Paired it with a red crop top and pearl neck piece, which ma got for me from Hyderabad. . Expectations!!! I did a lot of research on this, experimented on myself and finally got time to publish this. Imagine doing something without relishing the joy of doing it, but being very keen on the outcome. This is where things fail and we are burdened by the Karma or task while expecting a lot from the outcome. I have a truth teller/best friend who knows everything about me and hasn’t once flaked on me. She is the definition of loyal. Today I learned that one of my #favorite and most #influential #musicians, #NeilInnes, had passed suddenly yesterday. Not gonna lie, it was a big shock! I've said it before, but Neil's music was very important to me when I was starting out. He proved it was possible to make both funny songs and serious songs and still be taken seriously in aspects. The man had a knack for writing hooky things and humorous bits too. I've always said you should listen to Neil Innes, and today might be the best day to do so. Woke up a bit stressed today- day not starting off as desired- sick kids- running late- etc. Walking in Philly at 7 am a bit grumpy, I ran into a man on the street. Happy and upbeat! He asked “How are you feeling today, miss?” I said “fine, thanks.” He replied, “I feel blessed. Thing are looking up!” He made me think yes- I am blessed too. I get to wake up seeing my wonderful family- go to a job I love- etc. That short interaction turned my morning around. 🌟 When I was walking back to my office, I saw the same man- setting up blankets under an overpass. He is homeless. I spoke to him- he is a veteran. When I ran into him earler he had just spoken to someone in Wawa and will be getting a job. He said “he’s alive and he is going to make his life better.” He was oozing optimism. 🌟 If this homeless man can count his blessing and have a positive attitude- we all can. No matter what life throw at us. We might have days we are unmotivated to do what we need to do. We may have days when we don’t feel our best. We may have days of self-doubt. You need to stay disciplined. Stay positive, optimistic and confident. Envision yourself at your best. You can make this happen. Remember it can always be worse. Count your blessings that you have a job, a home, children, school, etc. 🌟 Bottom line: You get to choose your story. You choose how you react to life. No matter how it goes down! 🌟 In chaos, I choose calm. When overwhelmed, I breath. When tired, I rest. How many "Christians" are sitting at home RIGHT NOW with "bread enough and to spare" concerning things like toilet paper, sanitizer, disinfectants, and other needed commodities while others are in need of these items?? How many "Christians" are REACHING OUT to those in need to SHARE of what they have OR are they simply HOARDING to boast & brag about how much they have during this critical shortage?? How many "Christians" are going out of their way to make sure someone else that is WITHOUT ends up being someone WITH because they have opened up of their ABUNDANCE WITHIN to meet a NEED?? While the CHURCH-HOUSES are closed or modified for attendance tomorrow, how many will step up to be THE CHURCH to accomplish the WILL of CHRIST in such a time like this?? See, the reason I kept placing quotations around the word "Christians" above is because too many have gotten it ALL mixed up!! TRUE CHRISTIANS aren't based in the CHURCH!! Still oh so slowly working in that dread bouquet.... But. Todays WIP is actually... Me! I started this dread bouquet as a way to get out my feelings of anxiety and fear and hopelessness by doing something methodical and peaceful. It also holds the hidden meanings of those feelings in the flowers I chose This way, I can feel those emotions and worries and get them out of my head and put them away when I am done. This is the exact stuff I felt was total bullshit for years but now I am trying it... It helps. So does the medication I take for things I can't control. So does forgiving myself and allowing myself to make mistakes. Its fine to feel and fine to feel negatively- but its a problem when you lose days weeks months and years to it. I tried and am still trying a lot of things. I am finding stuff i like that helps vent in a positive way. A negative feeling doesnt mean a negative outcome to me anymore I guess. Like. I draw fuckin flowers of all things instead of screaming or throwing something or any other bad thing I used to do. Its not perfect yet. Im not perfect. But I dont have to be. Nobody has to be perfect. People just have to try. And learn. I had something more profound and soulbaring written before but IG crashed and I'm about as forgetful as the goldfish from that joke. Happy Memorial Day! #longpostalert I thank God for what he’s doing in my life! And I’m grateful to be a Blessing to others! Like my Mom says, it’s a set up! What I’m used to, isn’t what it looks like anymore and so I had to get over some things! This weekend was about honoring and appreciating my Mother bc she’s such an amazing and powerful Woman! On yesterday, I was surprised with a Honor by her! Thanking me for everything I do for her and my Pops! Giving me so much support and love to my Business! My Mom showed out with her speech about me in front of everyone and I receive it all! I’m recognizing that what God has for you, is for you and no one can take that away! Can’t no one Block your Blessings but you and trust that people and or things are going to get in the way and people are going to continue to drop out of your life if it isn’t aligned with what God has for you! There’s a reason why everyone can’t go where you’re going and ppl will prove themselves accurately each time! I’m taking a moment to embrace this beautiful scenery that God again had something to do with it! I believe in Signs and Wonders! Confirmations are everything! And what God is showing me is definitely about to be incredible! I don’t live my life anymore trying to please and be everyone friend bc it’s got me nothing but constant hurt! I’m a genuine and pure soul! So, Instead, I’ve changed my mindset and embrace the newness of ppl and things bc I’m growing faster and much happier along the way of my success!
