A little one to love

Imagine: You and Liam are expecting a baby together and you two tell Bear, his family and your closest friends the big news.

You and Liam have been talking about growing your family for a while, but neither of you expected it to happen so soon. When you start feeling a bit off—nauseous in the mornings and unusually tired—you decide to take a test just to ease your mind. The moment it turns positive, your heart skips a beat. You can hardly believe it, and you’re excited yet nervous about telling Liam.

Later that evening, Liam walks through the door, smiling as he wraps his arms around you. He can tell something’s up from the look on your face.

“Hey, what’s going on?” he asks, eyes narrowing playfully.

You smile, reaching for his hand and placing it gently on your stomach. “You’re going to be a dad again,” you say softly, watching his face closely.

For a moment, he just stares at you, processing the news. Then, a huge grin breaks across his face. “Really? Oh, love!! that’s amazing!” He pulls you into a tight hug, laughing as he lifts you off your feet. “I can’t believe it! This is incredible!”

You spend the rest of the evening planning how to tell everyone else. Liam insists on telling Bear in a fun way, so you both decide to surprise him with a little gift.

The next day, Bear comes over, and Liam hands him a wrapped box. Bear looks confused but excited as he tears off the wrapping. Inside, there’s a T-shirt that says, Big Brother. He looks up at you and Liam, his eyes widening as the realization sets in.

“Does this mean…?” Bear begins, his voice filled with excitement.

You and Liam both nod, and Bear’s face lights up as he jumps up to give you a hug. “I’m gonna be a big brother!” he cheers, looking at both of you with pure joy. He’s already bubbling with ideas about helping out and how he’ll teach his new sibling all the best games and protect them just like his dad protects you. Liam squeezes your hand, watching Bear’s enthusiasm with a mix of pride and love.

The next Sunday, Liam invites his family over for a cozy brunch. His mum, dad, sisters, and a few close relatives gather around the table, noticing that Liam seems extra animated today. You catch each other’s eyes across the table, both of you smiling like you’re holding onto a beautiful secret.

As everyone settles down with their plates, Liam clears his throat, barely able to hide his excitement. “So, we have something we want to share with you all,” he starts, taking your hand. His mom’s face lights up in curiosity, and his sisters lean in, sensing something big.

You smile and gently place your free hand on your stomach, unable to keep the words inside any longer. “We’re going to have a baby!”

A moment of stunned silence follows, and then his mum gasps, a joyful smile breaking across her face. Tears well up in her eyes as she rushes around the table to hug you both. His dad, grinning from ear to ear, pulls Liam into a proud hug, patting his back with a look of pride.

“We’re so happy for you!” his sisters say happily. “When are you due?”

The room quickly fills with excited chatter, everyone eager to hear every detail and offer support.

Last but not least… the next day, you and Liam gather your closest friends for a cozy dinner… but tonight, there’s an extra layer of excitement in the air. After dessert, Liam clears his throat, clinking his glass to grab everyone’s attention. You exchange a glance, your eyes sparkling with the secret you’re about to share.

“We wanted you all here tonight because… we have some big news,” Liam says, squeezing your hand.

Everyone leans in, curiosity and anticipation filling the room.

“We’re having a baby!” you announce, unable to hide your excitement.

For a moment, there’s a gasp coming from someone and then your friends explode with cheers, laughter, and hugs. They rush forward to congratulate you both, some of them already tearing up, others jumping with excitement. One friend starts talking about baby shower ideas, while another offers to be on diaper duty whenever you need it.

As the night goes on, you’re surrounded by love, support, and endless excitement from everyone.

As you and Liam lie in bed that night, he pulls you close, gently resting his hand on your stomach. “We’re going to be a little family,” he whispers with a look of awe.

You agreed with Liam, feeling incredibly grateful for this new chapter.

Y/N sat on the couch, her eyes red from crying as the news of Trump’s victory echoed in the background. She had spent the entire evening following the results, hoping for a different outcome, but it didn’t come. Kamala Harris, the candidate she had passionately supported, had lost. The weight of it all felt unbearable.

Liam noticed immediately. He sat beside her, his hand gently reaching for hers. “I know you’re hurting right now, love,” he said softly, his voice steady and comforting. “I’m here for you. Always.”

She leaned into him, taking comfort in his presence. “I just don’t understand how this could happen,” she whispered, trying to hold back tears. “I really believed in her… in what she stands for.”

Liam pulled her closer, wrapping his arm around her. “It’s okay to feel upset,” he said, kissing the top of her head. “But you’re not alone in this. We’ll get through it together. I believe in you, and I know you’ll keep fighting for what you believe in.”

A few days later, while Y/N was walking down the street with Liam, a man on a nearby corner yelled, “Your body, my choice!” His words cut through the air like a blade.

Y/N felt her blood boil. She spun around, anger flaring in her chest. “Excuse me?” she snapped, but before she could say anything else, Liam was already stepping forward. His face hardened as he squared up to the man, and without hesitation, he threw a punch, sending the man stumbling backward.

The man was shocked, but Liam wasn’t done. “No one speaks to her like that,” he said, his voice low and dangerous. Y/N stood there, stunned by his protective instinct.

Liam turned back to her, his anger fading when he saw the look in her eyes. “I won’t let anyone disrespect you, not like that,” he said, his tone softening.

Y/N stepped toward him, her heart racing. “Thank you,” she whispered, her voice thick with emotion.

Liam smiled, cupping her face in his hands. “Always, love. I’ve got you.”
