Mango Heaven . If you’ve ever watched Ratatouille, I picked up the etiquette of closing my eyes and focusing on the rich flavours from anything that looks tasty. Swirls of coloured notes dancing around in my imagination as the flavours kicked in. The mango smoothie at Rich Mango was heavenly. . I was suddenly brought out of my childhood and back to reality. It was that good. The mango stick was a beautiful, cold kicker against the light and fluffy whipped cream, with chocolate bits on top. It’s to no surprise why it tastes so delicious, and that’s because Jeju Island are known for their home-grown mangoes. . Well-located near the station but quiet down the pathway of Itaewon, G Guesthome is fantastic value for money and one I would whole-heartedly recommend to those looking for a well-furnished and comfortable travel stay. . The well-furnished and traditionally styled restaurant adds a nice Far Eastern vibe to the dining experience, while the food captures the authentic essence of Vietnamese cuisine. . What I really liked about this place is it captures the traditional decoration of the past-time, but keeps the rest of the dining experience simple. That extends to the simple white square plates that add a modern feel, wine glasses and wooden chopsticks laid over a Saigon branded napkin. Don’t expect much beyond the basics for service due to its self-order style approach, but it felt as part of the casual theme and was certainly fine with us. . This would definitely be more of your casual lunch or dinner out if you want to enjoy this kind of food without the formal environment for a really chilled time. The burgers are a very good option, while the pancake and waffles topped with pulled pork sounded interesting. very interesting. Spartan Race Super was such an epic experience - 12km distance and 25+ obstacles over an unforgiving hilly course. I reached a new level of finding out about myself in knowing what I am capable off. . I won't kid here - my running training wasn't great and I got injured a week before it being bed bound. I focused on what I can do which were the obstacles and I did some running to get my cardio better. . It was a gruelling and painful 3 hours as I pushed my body beyond my limit in what I had done previously, injuring my knee that had my a bit teary in the process and slowed me down. Each step towards the final hour had my muscles seizing up. But I discovered my pure grit, unwillingness to give up and new mental toughness to see it through. It took a couple of days to recover from what I pushed myself to, but it will always be one of my most satisfying achievement when I think back to the journey I had gone through. Thinking about it right now makes me so happy at what I had achieved. . I look forward to the next challenge and can't wait to go beyond my new found limit. As I walked from Paddington to Edgware Road to meet my friends for my birthday dinner celebrations, I walked underneath a small and short bridge, leading to this nicely illuminated open water canal. The lights from the houses and the walkway presented an ambient display, in what was a chilly cold evening of January. I've grown into my photography more and more, ever since I decided a couple of months ago to invest in some new gear. I rethought about the kind of pictures I want to capture - with a purpose, with a story; with emotion. Standing on the edge of the ground walls, I stood up tall and gazed far into the distance... the view of Osaka was beautiful. Up here and a step vertical drop down into the park lake, I didn't feel afraid. I looked on and saved the view at this very place deep into my memory, one I can think back to and appreciate all over again. Japan was one of the countries I always wanted to visit as a child and I finally made it. Delving deeper into the forest path and you'll find thousands of these Torii gates defiantly tall as you walk past the next, with the canopy trees enveloping and narrowing your surrounding. When you pass through these gates into the open forest floor, it heightens your sense of space as the fresh air and raw nature extends far beyond where your eyes can detail. In other parts of Inari shrine, Torii gates can be found shorter, narrower and closer together.
