IM ABOUT THE BASH MY HEAD ON THE STREET CURB, DO PEOPLE HAVE NO COMPREHENSION SKILLS?

WHY, pray tell WHY, did I see a fucking comment about Silco manipulating Jinx by saying Jinx is perfect and is the best version of herself. ARE YOU STUPID, THAT WAS NOT THE POINT HE WAS MAKING

Back when Jinx was Powder, she was called a jinx when she accidentally killed everybody as a child. (Of course no hate towards Vi, anybody would react harshly to that.) The point is, Powder FELT like a Jinx and Silco was trying to express that she was perfect REGARDLESS.

IF HE WAS ONLY TRYING TO USE HER BY TURNING HER INTO JINX HE WOULDNT STILL CALL HER PERFECT AFTER SHE SHOT AND KILLED HIM.

And another thing, he never said that was the best version of herself. When he helped her “kill” Powder in the water, he was trying to lessen her inner debate and help her let go of the past WHICH IS TYPICALLY CONSIDERED HEALTHY

So everyone labels Silco as a bad dad(because he lied about why Vi was back) but he was also loving, right? I just thought of a reason as to WHY he lied and I’m questioning if he’s still a bad dad in my own opinion now!!

If I have to question my thoughts so do you!!

Run with me here, so Silco obviously has trust issues with being betrayed/left behind, right? For Jinx(whose issues also stemmed from this) grew into a mentality where she might be “replaced.” (We see it in her major crash out over seeing Vi and Cait). What if Silco developed the same way?

Someone he thought of as a BROTHER betrayed him and he didn’t even get an apology or anything. (obviously I’m not blaming Vander, I’m saying this in Silco’s pov). Why WOULDNT he also grow the same mentality over being betrayed(and from here stems being replaced)? He’s more than likely more subtle than Jinx because he wasn’t a child when he was betrayed, unlike her who has to process that so fucking young.

So when he lied to Jinx about why Vi was back, maybe (HUGE MAYBE) he was only trying to ensure that Jinx wouldnt “leave” him behind. If you were Silco, and you told your daughter that her sister was dead but apparently said sister is alive and back for Jinx, would you not assume that she would rush to Vi and never look back? And if he DOES think people(mostly Jinx ofc) would replace him….

ADDING ON, he already saw violence as the means of change (no judgment but still, killing is a big nono), the easiest and most efficient solution in his shoes is just get rid of Vi…without Jinx’s knowledge but he gets caught so he lies….

Sorry I was rambling, I had this thought at like 1 AM as to why he lied and I have to vent

Thinking about how when Vi initially left Powder, she didn’t really leave. She was close enough to watch over her. Just imagine if Marcus never intervened

“Remember Me” ACTUALLY HITS SO DEEP NOW THAT I FINISHED SEASON TWO Im more than likely stating the obvious but I need an outlet

“I’m too far gone” - Vander being turned into Warwick, Silco starting to see violence as necessary and slowly turning into “a bad guy”, Jinx with her hallucinations, and Viktor turning momentarily evil

“I couldn’t see.” - legit everyone being at one point overcome with emotion and acting rashly. (Ex: Vander, Vi, Silco, Jinx, Cait)

“All the times I cut so deep.” - Silco and Jinx. That’s all I gotta say.

“All my life I couldn’t breathe.” - this one’s obvious, Viktor being disabled, which motivated him to turn everyone into those robot things.

“I just wanna be more than a memory.” - Viktor who wanted to leave a mark behind but never did BECAUSE HIS NAME WASNT ON THE FUCKING HEXGATES BLUEPRINTS

“When you tell me that you love me, guess it wasn’t true.” - How powder felt after Vi “left” her and called her a Jinx, ALSO how Silco felt when Vander drowned him.

“I’m on my own.” - Ekko literally ending up alone + Vander, Isha, Heimerdinger, and Jinx who were on their own as they sacrificed themselves. (And any other sacrifice I forgot)

Edit: Read an analysis on Silco so I’m changing what I put in the “too far gone” lyrics section for him because, my thought process is slightly shifted now<3

Just finished Arcane and y’all were not kidding that after watching Arcane you end up feeling empty

thinking about how Silco tried so hard to rally the undercity and start the rebellion and Jinx, HIS DAUGHTER, THE PERSON WHO KILLED HIM, fucking SUCCEEDED

i saw a post about someone saying Jinx was weirdly intimate (touchy) with Silco…

FIRST, fuck NO, the “touchy” parts were literally very CHILDLIKE touches

And second, Jinx is clearly emotionally stunted and acts childish all through Arcane and doesnt at all respect boundaries. She’s touchy with EVERYBODY, she was just more so with someone who literally RAISED her

The fact y’all looked at TWO scenes, Jinx sitting on Silco’s lap to inject him in the eye with shimmer and him dipping her into the water, and immediately thought of incest is disgusting. :(

I’m ranting because I just saw someone comment on a Pinterest post that Silco is only a bad guy and used Jinx. LIKE IM SORRY, DID WE WATCH THE SAME SHOW?

One, did you not see the way he utterly SOFTENED when Jinx said Vi left her in episode 3? That man related to her and trauma bonded to her in that moment and actually CARED and eventually LOVED HER.

Two, HIS FINAL FUCKING WORDS “Don’t cry, you’re perfect.” CONSOLING THE PERSON WHO KILLED HIM because HE LOVED AND CARED FOR JINX (as a daughter, don’t be weird)

Three, if he was only “using” Jinx why did he refer to Jinx as his daughter SO MANY TIMES, even when he didn’t know that SHE WAS THERE and COULD HEAR (reflecting over the deal at the memorial statue of Vander “is there anything so undoing as a daughter?”)

I hate it sm when people demote someone who has done very bad things (killing peoples is a big nono) but that doesn’t define their ENTIRE person. Yeah, Silco was a bad dude but he was also a father who didn’t know how to raise a child but TRIED. (I say tried bcs he defended Jinx, tried to protect her, and let her draw on his freaking stuff, and really let her grow close to him and do thing he would NOT let slide with others.)
