The finale parallel universe theory
The only way in my eyes that Reality War makes any type of sense is that the doctor has either been in a parallel universe ever since Wild blue yonder or that Poppy comes from a parallel universe.
Let me explain my theory for a second.
Poppy has been real ever since the beginning, she’s Belinda’s daughter and always has been but which Belinda’s?
The gods have messed the whole universe up with their presence. They crossed the threshold of their own universe and crossed into ours, but maybe not only ours. They seem to have ways to travel to any universe they seem fit (even creating some realities in Conrad’s world’s case.) Who’s to say that amongst the instability of the reality in the finale, Conrad’s world only took from our own universe? I see it as an amalgamation of several realities combined into one that is mashed together to create what Conrad sees as his perfect world (Which includes Belinda having a daughter, which she does in one reality already so Poppy appears.) This doesn’t mean that Belinda, the companion the doctor has been travelling with in previous episodes, has a daughter. I think that our Belinda doesn’t and that her glimpses of Poppy from before are leaking from a parallel universe into ours. I think that would explain the ending where we see Belinda behave differently than we remember and remember talking to the doctor about Poppy eventhough that’s not what happened in the episodes. This is not our Belinda, this is her parallel universe counterpart.
Then there’s the question of Ruby Sunday and her memories. I think that ever since 73 yards, her memory has been permanently altered to remember bits and pieces from her lives in all realities and universes where she exists, therefore of course she knows that Poppy exists but also that she doesn’t exist, which seems to be a big theme over the course of the two part finale.
I see how the Doctor would be confused about what is happening the entire time. I think he made a mistake trying to fix the timeline and bring back Poppy. But she was never gone. When she left the Zero room she just returned to her own universe.
I instantly thought it was suspicious how the Doctor gave up a regeneration to pilot the TARDIS like that. It reminded me of Bad Wolf and also how it took an impossible amount of power to travel to another universe like we’ve seen before.
So either the Doctor was in a parallel universe or just arrived in one through guiding the TARDIS with their own lifeforce. So it came as no surprise to me that Ncuti regenerated into Billie Piper considering the person to look into the TARDIS and pilot it this way was Rose and that we’re playing with parallel universes, in one which Rose is still trapped in. And it very well might be this one.
I’m not sure if RTD or anyone planned it to be this way but this is the only way all of this makes any type of sense to me.

The urge to rewrite The Devil's Chord to actually involve the Beatles more vs the urge to Not do that because I decided after Help! that I wasn't going to write RPF for a non-RPF audience again vs the idea to go 'fuck it, we RPF' and write it for the RPF audience and not the non-RPF audience anyway. Fight.

You know how dads are always mysterious about their lives from before you were born? Well i wish mine wasn't because i was terrified of coming out to him as trans and gay because I thought he was a bigoted boomer.
Turns fucking out
That he's queer himself, lived in a gay neighborhood and had dated multiple men and DRAG QUEENS before meeting my mom.
I mean COME ON
