I think one of the biggest things a lot of writers forget is that tragedy isn’t a bullet that effects only one person. Tragedy is a bomb, and it has a blast radius. My mom commented on how I've been getting worse at speaking German. (My native language, I live in germany) She noticed that I keep forgetting German words and grammar in regular conversation and she thinks I should dial back on reading,listening and writing English a little bit because it's affecting my everyday life.

Obvious I said fuck that I used to ace German back in school, I wrote full novels at the age of 11 before I learned English. I WILL PROVE TO YOU THAT YOU'RE WRONG BY WRITING A GERMAN STORY BETTER THAN ANYTHING I HAVE EVER WRITTEN.

I used to write on wattpad (the regret is deep) and got a couple of reads (just looked and as of today it's 45k. And I can't even brag about it because it's a 1d fandiction I wrote at the age of 12. Crying)

anyways I recently got an email that someone commented on my old profile.
