Gotta love what my brain chooses to forget and to remember. (sarcastic) I remembered losing a particular book but not that I found it again so for months or maybe years now I've just been living under the assumption that that book remained lost and I could not read it. But it's been sitting on my shelf for who knows how long. What the hell, brain?!

I say this as someone with serious concerns about AI being used to push out real people from jobs, but there's something mildly funny about seeing CEOs who have ever shown any sort of uber-patriotism for the USA following this trend. Did we learn nothing from John Henry. Does this country mean nothing to you.

[ID: a set of nine icons of Shuichi Saihara in front of the plural pride flag. The first features chibi Halloween art, the second and third feature works from the GraffArt collection (with the second showing Shuichi in a Santa hat), icons 4 through 7 feature pictures from the official anthology (with numbers 4, 5, and 6 all having mildly concerned expressions), the eighth is sketchy official art of him with a stern expression, and the ninth shows regular chibi art of him. / end ID]
Plural Shuichi icons! I... really like this headcanon of mine lol. But also I just like Shuichi in general. I really should write more plural Shuichi fics...

We include mspec lesbians and gaybians and lesboys and masc and male and multigender lesbians in our positivity btw. In case anyone thought that we, the local inclus who have an incredibly complicated queer identity, would not be inclusive of lesbians with complicated queer identities. All of you are welcome here. Exclus can kick the curb.
Happy lesbian visibility week to all my plural lesbians, lesbians in/who are systems, and lesbians with CDDs! (And a special shout-out to all lesbians whose lesbianism is affected or complicated by one or more of the above!)

Sometimes I will think about writing what I think is a Relatable Post and then realize in the middle of my planning that maybe what I am talking about is in fact not as common or as relatable as I first thought and I'm at least 20 percent sure I would get at least one concerned comment on what was originally meant to just be a haha funny joke. But on the other hand knowing that just turns the post into a "pretending everything is fine and normal while it most certainly is not" type joke and that sort of humor is one of my favorite forms of comedy. So I am left with quite the conundrum

At this point I'm just like
*sees exclusionist or fakeclaimer* get plural'd lol *creates another fanwork about plurality and spreads my lil plural paws over my fandoms*
... Sure, it's not a conventional method of dealing with hate, but it is so satisfying to know I will be reaching people these assholes don't even think to consider :3c You can rant and rave all you want, I'm over here introducing people to the full spectrum of plurality and teaching them all about systems and warning them in advance that you're full of nonsense before they've even heard of you >:3 and we're bonding over our blorbos as I do it

You ever hear someone say something and you're like "hmmm there's not enough evidence here to justify me bringing it up to them but damn does that sound plural"

We're slowly coming back around to writing a fic WIP we put on hiatus for a few years, and one of the plot points in it that we have to go over again with our fresh eyes and new ideas is the main character having DID.
We initially started this fic before we knew about our system, but not being aware of what it was didn't mean we weren't still affected by our plurality, and so while trying to write the MC "realistically" – based off our own habits and experiences – we unintentionally wrote them as rather plural-coded. They'd be surprised by their thoughts, or forget whole periods of time, or argue with their "brain"... It really is obvious looking back on it. And when we first found out we specifically had DID, we considered giving the MC DID, too, since we were realizing just how plural we wrote them as. We jotted down some ideas on how the MC could find out and everything.
Now, we're reevaluating this plot point and if we want to keep it, and how much we'd have to change it if so. I still want to keep the MC plural, but the plot has gotten so much more complicated than it was when we were initially writing this fic; it's gonna take some brainstorming to figure out how to work it into the rest of the story.
Maybe that can wait until after we figure out better names for our main villains, though. What kind of evil is named "Alex" and "Dave"?!

A lot of our early internal communication involved just throwing thoughts out into the void of our brain and hoping they reach someone. And then on the other side of things, we'd be trying to be open to hear others without straining ourselves so much that we'd accidentally block ourselves off from communication. It took us a long time to find a consistent balance, and we relied on external communication a lot in those early months (one might even say years). So I guess the lesson here is that sometimes you've just gotta take it easy as you take your journey; don't push yourself for results too quickly, and don't stress over whether you're doing things the "right" way, so long as what you're doing works for you. And don't feel ashamed to use lesser-used or lesser-known methods to get where you're going, either, whether that's in the meantime or for your whole life. Everyone's journey is different – this is just some advice from our own.

This poll is NOT a measure of the validity of someone's identity, nor does it imply that nonhuman identity is something you can grow out of.
The context behind the poll is that I was much more "feral" as a child than I am now, and a lot of the instincts I had prior are just kinda non-existent. Which makes nonhuman identy less something I have to actively "battle with" (aside from the occassional dysphoria) and moreso something I can just chill out and go "hehe imma lizurb".
Once the timelimit's over, this poll can also probably give some comfort to younger people who are probably struggling with instinct stuff rn. While it's not guaranteed, there is a non-zero chance it'll mellow out. I'm also just curious how many have similar experiences

People have talked about cringe culture and how it so often hits autistic folk the heaviest that cringe culture in itself is disableist, but honestly the same goes for cancel culture (like the actual thing not whatever certain celebrities make it out to be) and I don't think we talk about that enough. Like this cannot be the Autism Website or whatever you want it to be if you think harassment and talking about someone behind their back and telling them they are a horrible person and fucking suicide baiting is a proportional response to talking about things clumsily. To missing the point of a post. To having difficulty getting your point across so your words are easy to misinterpret. To being unable to tell when something is bad or mean or offensive because identifying that depends on identifying aspects like tone. To wording something in a way that sounds offensive but not realizing it. To not including everyone ever in your post because you didn't realize a certain group of people existed or that this might apply to them. To accidentally saying something that sounds like a threat when you just meant to joke around or talk about something personal. I'm sorry I know you want that Epic Own™ but if you want to be kind to autistic folks you've got to be kind to the Has Difficulty With Communication And Socialization folks. That's kind of a core part of autism for a lot of us.

I think it's kind of funny that so much advice for self-care is both funnier as a system but also must be adapted if you're actually going to make use of it as a system. Like I appreciate the humor in telling me to take care of myself/my self and to schedule system maintenance and something something multitudes but also it appears self-care is ever-so-slightly more complicated for me than you expect it to be, oh well meaning positivity quote
