I understand why they had to wrap everything up in Season 1, but dang Amon was a great villain, and I love the whole idea of the Equalists, I wish we could have had them around for longer. I’ve been amusing myself at work lately by thinking and sketching ideas of how I’d write the season finale of season 1 and season 2 as if Amon had stuck around as the main antagonist.

(Note: I’m not ripping on how the series is actually going, I just like playing with what-if ideas.)

The remake reboot prequel sequel industrial complex is killing me but the good thing is I don't have to watch any of that. I can just think "that sounds boring or otherwise doesn't interest me in any way" and do something other than watch it

Not invalidating anything above but would love to see this combined with Triad Leader!Mako. I mean if he can bend all the elements he'd be the ultimate Triple Threat, right? Groomed for leadership from the age of eight, his skills in fire, water, and earthbending honed to perfection by the members of his gang as well as any White Lotus instructor. So we wind up not with a dark Avatar like Unalaq looking to overthrow the current world order but a powerful dark Avatar who simply doesn't give a shit about balance or spirits or any of it because what has Republic City done for him lately?

I’m so obsessed with the idea of Avatar Mako (not because I hate women, stfu Korra is still kicking ass, but just water-bending style in this AU) because the idea of an orphaned kid living on the streets, working with gangs, and fighting in underground bending rings while trying to raise his younger brother, not giving a shit about who the Avatar is or where they are, being the Avatar without knowing is so good.

Maybe his parents knew because when he was a kid, they did some little rituals or something to see if he was an earth or fire bender or if he even was one at all. But they never told him (or anyone else) because they were going to wait until he was sixteen, like traditional. So, they just went with fire-bending because of his appearance and because fire is probably more dangerous untrained, and more likely to be done on accident. (I choose to believe fire sneezing is a very real risk)

Anyway, I just.. I love this AU so much.

anyway the actual point of fandom is to inspire each other. reading each other's fics and admiring each other's art and saying wow i love this and i feel something and i want to invoke this in other people, i want to write a sentence that feels like a meteor shower, i want to paint a kiss with such tenderness it makes you ache, i want to create something that someone else somewhere will see it and think oh, i need to do that too, right now. i am embracing being a corny cunt on main to say inspiring each other is one of the things humanity is best at and one of the things fandom is built for and i think that's beautiful

💛: What is a popular ship you just can't get behind, and why?

We all know I'm not a fan of Korra and Asami together so I wanna pick something different. Now popular is relative in LOK since it's really a one-ship fandom but on the spectrum of popularity is Kainora. To me it reads like the sheltered girl/bad boy trope which I don't think makes for a good long-term relationship. Jinora is a nerd. She has a strong sense of home and family and is ready to take up the mantle of the airbenders after her father. And Kai isn't any of these things. He's much more of the "air is freedom" kind of airbender. Also I find Kai obnoxious. Now, Ikki and Kai... talk to me.

🧡: What is a popular (serious) theory you disagree with?

That anyone in LOK is Sokka's kid. Now, I fully embrace that Sokka got married and had lots of sex and babies. I love this for him. I just don't think any of the characters we meet are them. Not Senna or Suyin or Baatar Sr. or Varrick. And nothing against people who do have these headcanons, it's just not for me. In general I lean away from everyone in sequels being related trope (I screamed when they made Rey a Palpatine like wtf noooo). Just let your world be big and full of new people.

Oooh, good question. I think Baatar Jr. He's often put in the "ew not hot" category because people don't like him as a character and because of his unfortunate choices in facial hair, but if you look at him objectively he's an attractive man. Ditch the chin tickle and put him in a swimsuit competition and I think he'd do quite well.

Red’s such a beautiful color. Many pieces of her closet were comprised of the color. Wearing it made her feel powerful, alluring, confident.

But she never realized this feeling before.

The color of red on someone else. Her. The way it adorned this woman’s hair and painted her face. Ranging from a bright red to then transition to a darker, near black shade, it took Asami’s head to a cloudy high. Hovering over her, Asami trailed a hand carefully over the freshly exposed cooling skin and fiddled with the frayed fabric of the blue dress.

What a shame, she thought. A high-end label dress gone to waste. Oh well.

Such was the life and budget of those of the celebrity class.

Asami could at least understand that much from this woman’s perspective.

Many times she hated pulling the Sato name card. Thought it was despicable for people to try and get close to her for the rich benefits alone. She had enough of that all her life growing up. Having fought tooth and nail to get to where she was now, she demanded respect for her contributions. Her power. She had grown into the name, making contributions outside of only being Hiroshi’s daughter.

She would not be made a fool of. Both professionally and personally.

Lucky the security guard was a fan of her work. With a hair flip and wink in their direction she was able to slip in and out, save the light clicking of her heels along the clean flooring.

Sashaying through the hallways and back to the table where her husband sat, Asami picked up her one abandoned cigarette for a hit.

“You were gone for a minute. Was the trip to the bathroom okay?” he asked.

Expelling the smoke, she stamped it out in the ashtray and looked at him sweetly. “Of course, honey. I think I’ve had it for the night, let’s head back home.”

Thick brows furrowed in question. “Are you sure? We’re going to miss the final act. They should probably be coming on soon. I know you were looking forward to seeing them.”

A flash to earlier in the night of the woman’s flirtatious touches and giggles toward her husband. She, apparently blind to Asami next to him. Then to the red now splayed around her as the corona of a star.

No. Of a virus more like it.

Asami blinked back to herself and stared at her husband sweetly. Cupping his cheek, lips curled to a smile. “I’m sure. I don’t think she’s worth it anymore.”

Hi, thanks for the ask! I've gotten quite a few Linzolt asks recently and want to clarify that while I love this pairing, I've actually only written Linzolt once so am hardly an authority on them as a ship, especially in a nsfw context. Most of my headcanons are borrowed from this ship's great champions. So while I know what it's like to want more content for your favorite rarepair, believe me, take this as my admission that I have too many WIPs to promise anything like this soon.
