Finished portrait of @caradelevingne

Was incredibly apprehensive about this one. Used half as many nails as I normally would for a piece half the size, the result is smoother blending but it’s all the more technical, that said I’m pretty chuffed with the result.

Tried to use half as many nails as I would normally for a piece this size in an attempt to get smoother blending. Was more of a practice piece for a big portrait of Cara Delevingne I’m working on.

Haven’t done a monochrome portrait before. Restarted several times, but I’m now coming around to the idea, I think he looks alright.

I think the reference pic I used was from Renfield promo, I just liked the lighting, and it’s a captivating state he’s got. Good movie as well, but daft but quite fun, Nicholas Hoult is also fit af but that’s by the by.
