I get it now. I understand. The impulse and action of deleting a fic (rather than orphaning). I've destroyed plenty of art that i've created, broken things, shattered them, burned them up as fuel for bonfires, ripped them to shreds and tossed the pieces. The thing is. It doesn't take from you, you've created it, you'll always have it. And you can always remake it. Deleting a fic is taking from everyone else. It's keeping something for yourself. Reclaiming it for your own eyes only. And I get that now.
