I'm a few weeks late on this, but genuinely I did not understand why people were *pointing meme* at this picture until I realised it's because IMAGE_DEPTH is the background of the gonermaker sequence & supposedly the voidspace where Dess could be in Deltarune. It wasn't our intention but it's pretty funny!!!!

Happy 8th anniversary to UNDERTALE! To celebrate we've updated our own website. While it's nothing big this time (just like the autumn newsletter) we do have a new page on items that one would find in a hypothetical OTHERSWAP game. Dess, what’s life in the Depths like?

So I know other ppl have asked abt mayor christmas and where she is by the time of the story, and there's been no concrete answer (for good reasoning) but In my head after seeing the "happy holidays" "merry christmas" arts of the family together and rudolph alone, I like to imagine that the loss of her youngest daughter & her adopted child, and her eldest daughter renouncing the family and running away to the abyss after rudolphs call for the death of any human who entered the underground- it caused her to slowly fall down (plus if we're looking for reasons for the amalgams to still exsist-what if rudolph wasn't willing to give up the only family member he had left? What if he got his wish for her to continue living, but as we all know-the monkey paw curls, and she was never the same for it, and he couldn't face what she had become afterwards, a creature deep in the true labs)

While this is a great interpretation, we think it may be a little dark for our interpretation of the world and could interfere with other plans we already have in place. Still, if you are attached to this idea, don’t let us get in the way of your headcanon!

Blog Update! - 02/26/24

Hi everyone! Before anything else, we’d like to thank you for all of the recent support! It really means everything to us, and we’ll (hopefully) have more stuff to show you soon… Until then though, we have a small update post!

First, we want to apologize for the recent inactivity. OTHERSWAP is run by a very small team that has a lot of other things going on outside of this project, and sometimes that means we don’t always have new content to present all the time. We’re trying our best! Promise!!!

Second, Leon will be joining David on the blog to answer asks beginning with our next few posts! We have a pretty long backlog we need to get through, so please be patient if yours isn’t answered right away… We’ll also be temporarily closing our inbox until we get through our queue. Sorry! We’ll make another post announcing when it’s reopened.

Finally, we want to encourage you to send any fan content you make our way! We’d love to be able to interact more with the community and see your own artistic interpretations of OTHERSWAP… I guess this is kind of just a fancy way of saying “We get really excited whenever we see a piece of fanart for our AU, so please keep doing that!” Getting to see all of the interest and support from the UTDR community has been a true gift, and we hope to provide even more for you to chew on in 2024. Thanks for reading!

If you are to make a sprite comic would all fun events be shown or would you only add certain ones for the progression of the story

Hey that's a pretty fun idea. It'd probably make more sense to put all that in an "Extras" section right? It's a comic not a game, so no need to limit ourselves like that.

What do the Gaster Blaster of Sans and/or Papyrus look like? Are the blasters' design unchanged?

The brothers' special attack is pretty much the same, yes. Not sure why those would change!
