Ok, I’m late but I’ve finally completed the CAS Challenge by @theplumblob and it was a struggle lol but so much fun to do. I think I’ve 100% satisfied my CAS cravings at least for today.

For this challenge the primary theme was Glass and immediately the word mirror appeared in my mind and I knew I wanted to create “twins” so meet Clara and Mira. Clara and Mira aren’t identical or even twins at all. I was inspired by the tale of ‘The Prince(ss) and The Pauper’ when I created these two.

Clara is considered mermaid royalty and Mira is a reserved city girl who was emancipated as a teen. Besides their uncanny resemblance they also have the desire for freedom in common. Mira, which is Spanish for look, has always felt trapped inside of a glass house looking for a way out. Clara, which means clear and bright in Latin, has always had the type of personality that attracts others to her but that wasn’t enough to stop the constant feelings of being on the outside looking in. It didn’t help that everyone treated her like she’s fragile because of her royal status.

The tertiary theme is why I chose to create a mermaid. Mira is also a hip-hop instructor. So they’re inspired by the Flowing movements water and dance. Also, when I think of freedom I think of the idea of flowing unencumbered/not being held back.

They meet by chance and Clara has the idea to switch places. As long as they looked similar enough she was able to cast an illusion that would make anyone believe they’re each other (like the idea of smoke and mirrors.) Plus, it would’ve been boring if I just made them look exactly alike. Also, the secondary theme Shells just mean shells.

I’m not sure how their stories end so I guess it’ll just be different for everyone.

I've been in a sims making mood recently which is rare because I usually can't make sims just because. They always need a reason or a backstory 😅 @/bakersimmer put it perfectly. It's not enough to know that they like eating bread, I need to know why they like eating bread.

I eventually want to do a sims request or sims dump (when I'm more confident lol) for now I'll probably just keep messing around in cas.

Dear Duane,

Even though the last time I tried to tend a table at the Tapu Market went terribly, I figured it was worth another shot. With all of the crystals we’ve collected from the recent volcano eruptions we had plenty to sell (so no table fish 🐠 this time) I’m not sure if it was the crystals or if Ches is secretly my good luck charm but it went surprisingly well. We even cleared off most of our table. Hopefully, this is a sign our luck is turning around.

Ashford Blake was born with a bad heart-uh, excuse us, we mean he was born with a heart condition *sweats* too much stress is not ideal for him. In fact, let’s just not stress him out at all.

He was also born with a silver spoon in his mouth that he somehow turned into a diamond one. His acting career started off rocky until a few years ago when he landed the hit role of Ethan King on As The Sims Turn. Ethan is your cliched, evil soap opera villain with lots of money and little remorse. Ashford’s success suddenly skyrocketed in the role almost as if the character of Ethan was made specifically for him. Or as if Ethan King wasn’t a character at all.

Offscreen, Ashford is a serious actor who “generously” gives back and only enjoys the finest things life has to offer. Mainly beautiful women, who he is happy to spoil. As long as they stay in line and don’t believe the rumors that he is the alleged mob boss of the San Myshuno Sixes. He was never convicted of any criminal activities. If anyone knows otherwise they’ve already been... motivated to continue minding their own business. He knows exactly how to handle the few problems money can’t solve...

Fun Fact: He once fired his agent for suggesting he would be perfect for a role where he’d be playing a cold-blooded vampire. He claimed that they didn’t understand him at all.

Fun Fact: It’s best not to address the scar on his face...if you want to keep having fun. That’s fact.

Fun Fact: He sometimes answers and refers to himself as Ethan offset too. No, it’s not weird.

EPISODE ONE, PART TWO: KEEP A KNOCKIN’

Rule 02: …Or come to terms with the possibility that one day it may all be gone.

PART ONE ||

Z did not expect their “quick” supply run to turn into an endless wave of walkers. Truthfully, she never does and they always did. Her ammo is running low and the noise is attracting more walkers but making a break for it is a lot harder with a toddler in tow. 

Jay takes off to their meetup point at the base of the hill, doing exactly as she instructed--no, more like drilled, repeatedly. Maybe it's muscle memory or out of fear (long gone was the boy who claimed he took on seven raiders alone.) Either way, it gives her the chance to break away, scoop up Charlie--who doesn’t fuss at being held for once--and take off to meet up with Jay.

Hours later and a healthy distance away from one danger is when she realizes it’s just as she thought. No matter what she decides, there’s always more to lose...

*roll an odd number, lose unprotected shelter*

PROLOGUE ||

It seems that Z is caught in a lose-lose situation. Where every choice she makes feels like the wrong one. How can two siblings be so different yet so alike at the same time? Any attempt to connect is met with resistance. One goes off on his own and disappears the first chance he gets, the other refuses to let her out of her pint-sized sight just as long as Z keeps her distance. *Charlie doesn’t appreciate that* 

The ghost and the shadow. Exactly like Z and Jesminder. Speaking of her sister--Jes would kill her if she knew Charlie was out on a run with them. Jay told her as much. It’s less risky since Drop Day and the Hazmats have already come and gone for the week. Plus, young children aren’t effected by the toxin. There’s still so many other reasons why it’s a bad idea. Walker-shaped reasons. The only reasoning that made sense in her mind was the one telling her whole being not to leave them alone. Though Jay thinks he could’ve taken care of himself and his little sister. Swearing up and down he once protected his Maa from seven raiders alone.

It’s been too long since she’s allowed anyone to rely on her...almost as long as the last time she’s relied on another person. That person was Jes. No matter how much they argue or disagree. Z remembers a time when she was much younger and the burns covering her body were much fresher, Jes was there. The only thing keeping her alive. Even if that wasn’t the case. It’s about time she does right by her sister. By her family. 

For their sake, Z hopes her intuition treats them better than it’s treated her in the past...

Leslie is me and I am her rn 😅

The group ate a late breakfast. This meal was the final meal, with eight around the table. After they ate, Leslie decided to slam back a drink. Was it the stress of the rose ceremony? Ayane freaked out, whereas she was the one that usually calmed people down.

Leanne decided to consult the oracle of the cowplant before chatting with Jillian. Ceri conversed with Ayane and Leslie in the dining room. The contestants had only hours left to impress Branson, and no one cared.

Neia was the first to remember and snag his attention. Jillian jumped into the conversation as soon as she could.

Ayane told a gross joke. She probably learned it from Branson. Neia didn’t care for the joke, and Lilac flat out rolled her eyes.
