With how bad this heat is getting, I do worry for any cryptids out there. I hope they are staying hydrated and safe. Make sure to keep water out for them as well as any treats they could enjoy.

Well, I survived my first week of work and was super happy with how it went. Had more talk of cryptids and such now that I'm doing hands-on work. Definitely can't want to see how next week will go!

So, working in the south side of my state has always been an interesting experience with cryptids. Just today at work, a coworker mentioned how her farm was raided and her chickens killed, and of course, I live in a majority Hispanic/Native community, so there are a lot of different things it could be.

Completely unrelated to what this blog is about, but I'm starting a new job on Monday, and I'm excited but also scared. It's going to be a big transition.

So, my birthday is in a month and last year was one of the best small parties I've had in a while. It was a cryptid themed party, and I even got a bigfoot shirt, and my sister did a Kahoot quiz about cryptids. 10/10 would do it again, but I wanna do it BIGGER this year. I wanna give cryptid hunting, but I know I won't be able to because my birthday falls on a Monday this year.

Okay, now I'm convinced my neighbors are werewolves. Last night, they were howling again, and one of them started scratching the side of my house. I haven't gone out yet, but I know for a fact one of them was out there. We had a bad storm come in, so idk maybe it freaked them out.

So, my university has one more cryptid kind of creature, more ghost, and it was something I was with a group of people. It was a white van, kinda basic, I know, but it was covered in blood and handprints. When we saw it we were doing a late night drive and it was behind us, one of my friends recorded it and then it completely vanished.

One of the neighbors continues to howl at all hours of the night, and it's something I've mentioned, but it's still weird that it's still happening. Again, if they are werewolves, that's fine. That's great, even. Now either let me join or stop waking me up at 3 am. to the sound of 4-5 people harmonizing in wolf howls. I'm tempted to see who they are and ask what the deal is, but I'm also nervous because what IF they are werewolves or something adjacent. What dies that mean for me and everyone I know.

I think of all the cryptids out there. There are some that would be scary to see, and some that would just be odd. For example, if I saw bugfoot or mithman, my heart would stop, but if I saw the Fresno night crawler, I'd vibe with I because I to am all legs.

So, due to a lack of a specific type of book I've been wanting to read, I have started writing a cryptid book myself. It will follow a lone man traveling the Appalachian trail alone and is slowly being hunted by a bigfoot type creature. I also have a few drawings I will be including in the book as well. I'll be sure to keep posting more to update as well.

Both are pretty horrifying, but one makes me happy in other places, so I'm okay with both.

There has been a weird neighborhood family who recently moved in, and I say they are "weird" because at 3 AM, they will be outside howling. I don't mean just some soft howling but full, in sync, howling. It's almost like a weird family gathering. Anyway, it's not that annoying, but if they are werewolves, I just want them to invite me to join.

I guenally hope one day I'm able to get a group together to either travel to search and document cryptids or make an audio drama like some podcasts do and we can just pretend to be different people from all over getting together to find cryptids. I have some ideas written. I just need the friends to do it.

I wish that they would bring back the show Lost Tapes, but as like a YouTube thing. Like, I wanna see an analog horror about some people looking for cryptids while they travel around the country. Hell, even one of those acting podcasts would be amazing. If anyone would wanna help me with one, I'd 100% be down.

As someone who consumes cryptid media almost every single day, this book was fun to read. It's a series of 16 books about a specialized task force dealing with cryptids around the world. I highly recommend them, and I do want to get the other 15 books.
