The recent breakthroughs in the Object Overload franchise: past and present
Hello again! This is Rabbit (Blue Tennis Ball on Fandom) here to update you with stuff regarding Object Overload yet again. This won't just include stuff regarding Object Overload's inspirations, but also some new stuff regarding the upcoming series. This is another long post, so of course details are below.
So first off, let's talk about the upcoming series (tentative series title), which is the reboot of Object Overload that was announced in back in 2022. We have discovered that not only have the characters featured in the "Object Overload is Back" teaser are in the cast of the new reboot, but we found out where the confirmations of everyone besides those characters as well as Snow Globe and Lighter came from: the BIAS Club server.
Additionally, Niall has posted updated renders to the server for Clock and Casey, although I cannot find confirmation that Casey is in in spite of it. These are what the new renders look like.
As for reconfirmations, it has been confirmed no new characters will be in the upcoming series, meaning Light Switch and PB&J are not in the roster.
Additionally, it has been confirmed that Dusty will not be in the cast in the EPICORE Club server.
And so has Ping Pong Ball, who was a popular character among the contestants not in the 2015 series.
Toothy will be officially voiced by WebzForevz, which me and angelli are worried about considering it would be hard to imagine Toothy with anything but a squeaky voice, but Cutiesunflower has told us Webz might pull a high-pitched voice with Toothy, considering Webz's wide range of voices.

Also, Melony, notable for her consistent deaths, will either die less frequently or not at all in the new reboot.
Now, onto stuff regarding the older Object Overload content, the EPICORE Club server is where we found this nifty concept art of Toothy, and both that server and BIAS Club has an explanation for this.
According to Niall, Toothy was a failed attempt at physically cloning Cursor, a character from Goldenzoomi's old object show "Land of the Objects". On Zoomi's channel banner at the time, Cursor could have been seen poking in the rightmost corner, and Niall believed that Cursor was a tooth because of it.
There's also the fact that the more violent scenes in Object Overload, such as Melony's deaths, were inspired by Kenny from South Park, Happy Tree Friends, and Final Destination.
And also, it's not Kite who was the first character created. It was Globe all along.
There are more things I would like to add, but I'll share that sometime later. Thank you for reading!

Some stuff has been uncovered for the 2015 series!
The 2015 series of Object Overload, also known by fans as Object Overload Reloaded, was a reboot that ran for just one episode in 2015. It was notable for the introduction of Pumpkin, a rude carved pumpkin with a desire to be seen as scary.
Just recently, some new information was uncovered regarding the 2015 series, all of which came from the Object Show Community Discord server. In this post, we will explain all the new details that explain what could have happened if the 2015 series continued.
First off, the full elimination order for the 2015 series was revealed, and is explained as folows:
It seems that Fly Swat would have won the 2015 series, much like how he won the 2013 series. You may notice that many nicer characters such as Popcorn and Tiki claimed low placements in the ranking, and Lighter is placed pretty high.
This leads into the next thing: Niall has also shared some information as to how various things played out.
Clock would have been a major antagonist throughout the 2015 series, especially near the end of the series. He would have sabotaged many other contestants to further himself in the game, ally with Lighter to help vote out other contestants (which is why some of the nice contestants placed pretty low), and even blindside Marble by using an immunity-granting trinket that he would have held off in the final 14, causing Soccer Ball to be stranded going into the final 3. In the final challenge, Fly Swat would have been supported by the contestants that have been sabotaged by Clock telling him to do his best, allowing for him to win.
Kite would have also caused a tie-breaker between her and Toaster, but she ends up losing and gets eliminated as a result. There was also going to be a lot more depth in the eliminations, which turn out to have had contestant voting, in which every contestant would have a stated reason for voting off another player, and there would have been many more alliances/groups than just Toothy's alliance alone.
That's all we have to share for now! Have a good evening!

Getting into the Halloween Spirit: Welcome Infection!
It's surprising to think that before the "MLP Infection" trend from TikTok, there would have been an object show about a zombie apocalypse, but ere we are.
You might be wondering how on earth this would pertain to Object Overload, or what Infection is.
Infection was a show conceptualized by Niall Burns, the creator of Object Overload, where 10 objects are in a bunker trying to survive an zombie apocalypses setting with limited resorces. While all ten characters were shown and named, only one character, Back Pack, had a bio.
Recently, the intro to Infection, which was taken down by Niall, was reuploaded.

The rankings in the 2013 series
These three are Kite, Masky, and Fly Swat. They all have something in common. No, it isn't that they have blue on them. No, it isn't that they have both arms and legs. No, it's not the fact that they were on Team Tune in the 2013 series.
It is actually the fact that they were considered to win the 2013 series at one point during its production.
We do not know too much about how the elimination order of the 2013 series would have played out. There are some stuff, however, that we do know.
First off, no rejoins would have happened in the 2013 series, as confirmed by Niall in a reply to a comment on one of his journal posts on DeviantArt.
First off, there are the well-known eliminations. The ones that did happen in the episodes. Those were Lighter, Top Hat, Disc, Crayon, and Tissue. Candy as well, as "Buckets of Fun" is perhaps the most well known out of the lost 2013 series episodes.
And then there were the less-known eliminations. These four were discovered in the comments of the same journal posts where the fact that no rejoins would have occurred can be found. It is actually the Object Overload Q&A.
In our "what could have been" post, we shared that Paper Airplane, Dusty, Soccer Ball, and Boxing Glove were meant to be the next four eliminated after Candy.
While we don't truely know their placements on the show, Toothy and Coney would have gotten really far into the game (as Niall explains it, they would have made it to the end), according to Niall in an episode of the now dormant object show podcast "Chillin' Like a Villain". It was also revealed that the winner of the show as changed three times over the course of the show's production.
At first, Kite was going to be the winner of the show, as she was the fan favorite at the time. Then it was changed to Masky in order to subvert viewer expectations, as no one would expect someone as bland as Masky to win. Then it was changed back to the fan favorite, which by the time Niall changed it again, it was Fly Swat.

What could have been?
In a journal entry called "Object Overload QnA", Niall allowed for people to ask questions about the 2013 series as well as the then-upcoming 2015 series. The only caveat is that he would not answer who placed 3rd, 2nd, or 1st in the 2013 series.
It is from there, and another journal entry ("O.O 7") where we knew what could had been if the 2013 series didn't get cancelled.
Here are the first the first ten contestants that had been eliminated in the 2013 series. We know the eliminations of Lighter, Top Hat, Disc, Crayon, Tissue, and Candy. But notice the last four.
This confirms...
Team Time won the challenge in "Buckets of Fun" and Paper Airplane was eliminated in the next episode.
Team Tune won the challenge in episode 8 and Dusty was eliminated in the next episode
Team Time won the challenge of episode 9, breaking the patter of Team Tune winning the challenge twice and Team Time winning once. Since double eliminations occur every four eliminations, episode 10 would have saw the elimination of both Soccer Ball and Boxing Glove.
It also confirmed that no rejoins would happen, although Niall would bring back Top Hat if rejoins would happen.
Additionally, episode 8 does have a known challenge, and it would seem as if Toothy would have a major focus in this episode.
The challenge of episode 8 was to get Toothy's loose tooth out of his mouth.

A misconception with Boombox
This is Boombox, the leader of Team Tune in the 2013 and 2015 series. The image on the left is his 2013 and 2015 series design, white the image on the right is his upcoming series design which was revealed back in 2018.
Boombox is one of the male characters in Object Overload that fans confuse for being female, due to his 2013-2015 design's color scheme of black and purple and his voice sounding more feminine to viewers.
A common misconception with Boombox is that he was made female in the 2015 series. The only problem with this is that there is no official proof that Boombox is canonically female in the 2015 series, and it was seemingly made up by people who assumed that Boombox was female.
In sharp contrast, there is some proof that points towards Boombox being male back in the 2013 series. The old Object Overload wiki, while not normally a good source for information, does have revisions to pages from a time where it wasn't riddled with rumors. Some of these revisions were made by Niall, creator of OO.
Such is the case with this revision for the page for Boombox.

There is also this comment, again from the old wiki.

It is also confirmed in the episode "Lost and Found", with this quote from Clock.
Who does that backstabber think he is? THEY SWITCH THE SIGN!! We did NOT switch the sign!
"He" in this case is referring to Boombox, as evident by the conversation he has with Casey immediately after.
In contrast, Boombox is not referred to with any pronouns in the only 2015 series episode, "Rostrum Rampage", making it hard to pinpoint his gender there.
It is also worth noting that Niall had initially written Boombox as a "musical misfit" who was deceivingly capable as a leader. However, Boombox has never acted silly in an episode, only the part where he is capable of leading a team is shown.
This misconception has been believed by many since 2017, and we are trying to prevent the spread of false information while finding new factual information about the show. This is why information provided outside of the episodes should be cited with real evidence.
