Took me until about halfway through college before I realized “study” means “play with the material in a variety of ways until you understand it” and not just “read the assigned chapters and do the homework” and I think that probably should have been discussed at some point prior to that.

Books I've Read in 2024: Bride by Ali Hazelwood
"You don’t know anything about what it’s like to find your other half, I would take anything she chose to give me—the tiniest fraction or her entire world. I would take her for a single night knowing that I’ll lose her by morning, and I would hold on to her and never let go. I would take her healthy, or sick, or tired, or angry, or strong, and it would be my fucking privilege. I would take her problems, her gifts, her moods, her passions, her jokes, her body—I would take every last thing, if she chose to give it to me."

A single Choice shall end his days
Ok, so we all know how TLO ended. Percy CHOSE to give Luke the knife and Luke killed himself to stop Kronos. Yes. That was a choice. You know what else was a choice? Percy listening to Luke. "Don't let it happen again." That's what Luke said. Percy was given the choice to be a god. To END HIS DAYS as a demigod and serve his father. He chose to stop something like this from ever happening again by asking the gods to recognize their children. He saved Olympus from future destruction via their children.
Percy's choice wasn't giving Luke the knife. His choice was making sure Luke's final wish was enacted.
Boom. Mic drop.

"percy takes annabeth's last name—"
"annabeth takes percy's last name—"
"they combine last names—"
"they don't even get married because of hera—"
give me a crackfic where percy and annabeth kill zeus and hera and anyone who stands in their way just to get married, and, in killing zeus and hera, they become gods, eliminating the last name problem because they won't even HAVE last names as gods

I love that representation because I don't think anybody is just one thing, especially in 2024.

THEY YASSIFIED COLLIN
omg ASL representation love. that’s so cool actually
penelope era has BEGUN
not the sheet over his head while giving her head. antony is truly a man written by a woman
crying at the getting ready montage cuts.
penelope GET YOUR MANS we can work on your conversation later
Cressida still a bitch as always
Antony and kate are literally rabbits. RABBITS.
the way she stares so deeply into his eyes
ooooh penelope you fucked up. you fucked up baaaaad
final thoughts: I think i will like the book version of their love story better. but i think this will be an interesting season. I am curious to see how franscesa’s love story will play out this season as well. I think they are playing into the whistle down drama too much, it’s not a political column just gossip. the stakes seem way too high. pen and collin are supposed to be a slow burn couple and i fear it’s going to feel too fast. they don’t have that long established comfortable friendship like their book. The lessons plot feels too similar to daphne which is odd because they changed antony’s love story to avoid repeat of caught in compromising position. I still think it is weird they skipped Benedict because sophie is a huge part of penelope and eloise’s stories. and the whole point is they are best friends and get married so close together. crushing those friendships in the last season and spoiling the whistle down reveal felt like a cheapout already and i’m curious how they are going to rectify the plot lines without straying so far from the books. I do hope we at least meet sophie this season maybe, but between all the introduced new plot lines in just the first episode i doubt it will happen. I will talk about the new baron of Kent reveal later as it develops but i have no idea what that is going to be about. I wish they stuck more with the books, i enjoyed seeing the development of the relationships. the whole world building drama lines take away from the core of the bridgerton story in my opinion.
