Descendants movie 2 but it’s actually about Mal realizing she’s a lesbian and that being with Ben is comphet and that what she feels for Ben is a platonic love but what she feels for Evie is a romantic love and when Uma puts Ben under the love spell and he needs true love’s kiss it’s Carlos who can do it.

I need this dialogue specifically just, somewhere:

Mal: “It... didn’t work. But - What are we going to do?!”

Carlos: “Listen I um, I don’t know if true love’s kiss has to be a two way thing but... I could try.”

Jay: “Go for it, Los.”

Ben, after the kiss works: “By the way, it’s definitely a two way thing. Just so you know.”

Can’t get the image out of my head of Jay and Evie playing wingman and pushing Carlos and Ben together, and the lyrics being Evie encouraging Ben to go after Carlos.

Like yes it’s still the “you need to act like a bad kid or we’ll get eaten alive” but imagine Evie also using the lyrics to encourage Ben

“If you want it, take it” and she smirks and nods her chin toward Carlos and Ben blushes... and then “And if you can’t take it, break it” also being like a “but if you hurt him I’ll destroy you” and Ben goes pale AKFNSNFNDNF

“I know you think you can never be like us - watch and learn so you can get it right” choreography but she does the limp wrist when she says “like us” and established early on that everything she’s saying has two meanings-

“You draw attention when you act like that” and she smirks at how Ben is drifting towards Carlos and Ben steps away from him only for Jay to shove him back akdkdkdkd

“Seriously you need to not be yourself” and “You want to be cool? Let me show you how” is just Ben being SUPER REPRESSED and Evie being like no!!! Be bi!! Like men!! Do crime!! And Ben is like “yes ma’am” by the end of the song

“Need to break the rules, I can show you how” actually being a line of comfort? Like. Maybe people back at Auradon don’t accept gay people? It just gives me the vibe because they all had the prince/Princess dynamic. And on the Isle love is generally seen as a weakness I think, so Evie understands the unspoken rules and how scary that can be to face down and how hard it can be to do something different. Be who you actually want to be when everyone expects something specific out of you. And since Ben is a golden boy (something Evie has seen a LOT with Mal) it’s going to be especially hard for him but it’s worth it for his happiness, and she’s willing to help and guide him.

I’m just imagining the second chorus when she repeats “Need to break the rules, let me show you how” after the second verse she hip bumps him into Carlos and Ben looks at her like WTF and she winks at him PLS it would be so funny

The part with “now let me show you how bad you can be” and “Like this? (Yeah) Like This? (Yeah!) I think I got this, I’m ready to rock this. Thank you for your help, I think I found the worst in myself” starts with Evie encouraging him to be bad and he pulls out all the stuff he’s stolen and hands it to everyone EXCEPT when he gets to Carlos he just slides really close and Carlos backs into a wall and Ben grins and Carlos’ knees go weak and Ben is like “MOM I DID IT!!” And Evie and Jay are GRINNING (plus also “he stole Carlos’ heart” being a joke that comes back later when they list all the “bad” things Ben did SMDKDKFND)

I’m just telling you, this entire song is full of Ben longingly gazing at Carlos like he’s the best person Ben’s ever seen and if they weren’t going to give us best friends Ben and Carlos they should have given us boyfriend Carlos and Ben and I stand on that!! This song should have been Evie singing to Ben and Jay shoving Carlos towards Ben and it should have been gay as fuck and I,, I need to sit down hold on-

1: sexuality headcanon

in my head, he's gay. we know how smart he is but he was so young when he got to auradon. he thought he was supposed to be with a girl, even though he deep down knew he just wasn't interested in girls, at all.

i'll add this little message under every ask i get bc i think it's important. this is my personal headcanon. carlos' sexuality is open to interpretation and he can be whatever you want and need him to be <3

2: otp

man, i love jaylos.

i feel the same way about them the way i feel about malvie. they're meant to be.

carlos is no weakling. he can hold his ground. but he lacks the confidence and sometimes the interest to do so. he needs someone that encourages him to value himself and to stand up for himself, something he's always been able to do. he needs someone who puts him first and who won't half ass their love for him. and of course, someone who can be a comfort blanket when he needs to hide. jay's that person for him.

idk, at this point i'm becoming predictable. i love carlos' dynamics with the girls buti wanna talk about harlos bc i'm once again pushing the core four + harry agenda bc i love the possibilities.

harlos have a weird canon relationship. they start off as enemies and then they're just. in each other's vicinity for the rest of it. the wasted potential there has me frothing at the mouth.

bc i love the idea of harry helping carlos get back into wearing eyeliner. i love the idea of them bonding over music and playing guitar. i love the idea of carlos teaching harry breakdance. i love the idea if healthy bickering instead of hatred. i just am really soft for them being besties.

i kind of already mentioned it when talking about harlos but carlos can play the guitar! (he's self taught. he refused to join band but he saw some kids in music class with their guitars and that caught his eye) he can also sing so sometimes he just sits down with his guitar and sings soft tunes. it's soothing to him.

neither. i've been adamant about all the vks being somewhere in between. carlos hasn't done anything to be considered a problematic fave but he's not just the cinnamon roll. i just think he (and the rest of them) is too complex and too layered of a human to fall into this type of categories. he's carlos de vil. and i love him for it.
