I made these as a way to compile all the geographical vocabulary that I thought was useful and interesting for writers. Some descriptors share categories, and some are simplified, but for the most part everything is in its proper place. Not all the words are as useable as others, and some might take tricky wording to pull off, but I hope these prove useful to all you writers out there!

Plural Coining Post: Conglomerate
I hadn't seen this term coined yet, so I wanted to do so, as we use this to describe ourselves!
A conglomerate is a type of system that at one point had greater separation of parts (i.e. multiple or median) but has since undergone an incomplete fusion to where the same individuals are still there, not reintegrated together, but the system essentially functions as a singlet.

Perhaps the term "facing" could be used instead of fronting, where there's not a distinct change, but a different "angle" of the conglomerate facing the world.
This term could work for subsystems or sisasystems as well!

a guide to internet graphics and my blog
I'll try to make this entertaining, but we have a lot to cover!
Q: Sooo... What are blinkies? Or buttons?
A: Blinkies are a type of graphic that was popular 15+ years ago on personal blogs, often on a web host called Geocities.
Geocities no longer exists, but lovers of the indie/old web use other platforms, such as the new Neocities, to make their own old web-inspired blogs. They often decorate these with collectible graphics.
Q: You haven't really answered my question. What's the difference between all of these graphics?
A: Well, there are a lot of different kinds of graphics. For the sake of time, I'll only talk about the ones I post.
Blinkies are usually 150x20 pixels, but many creators like to improve their quality by making them 300x40, or even larger. There are also some oddly-sized blinkies, like this one:
However, most blinkies adhere to the standard dimensions. Most of them also have "blinking" borders, and usually feature text.
Let's talk about buttons. Buttons are, well, buttons. This button specifically is 88x31. This seemingly random size was the standard for Geocities users back in the day, who used these buttons as a portal/advertisement to their website, as well as a way to say pretty much whatever they wanted. Lot's of companies used them as well. Here are some examples:
Not all buttons share this standard dimension, though. Here are some other possibilities:
There are variations of these, too. Some buttons look pretty weird:
...and there are blinkies called "chain blinkies" that look like something else entirely:
Q: Ok, cool. What about stamps?
A: Stamps are a bit different. They're a slighter newer thing, and were made popular on Deviantart in the early 2010's. They are traditionally 99x56 pixels, and can be used to decorate any blog or website. Here are some examples:
as you can see, they can be made with a variety of borders.
I would love to continue, but I think this is enough for today. I'll have a part two up within a couple days! Stay tuned for explanations and examples of dividers, favicons, fanlistings, web etiquette, and more!
part two!

neocities guide - why you should build your own html website
do you miss the charm of the 90s/00s web where sites had actual personality instead of the same minimalistic theme? are you feeling drained by social media and the constant corporate monopoly of your data and time? do you want to be excited about the internet again? try neocities!!
what is neocities?
neocities is a free hosting website that lets you build your own html website from scratch, with total creative control. in their own words: "we are tired of living in an online world where people are isolated from each other on boring, generic social networks that don't let us truly express ourselves. it's time we took back our personalities from these sterilized, lifeless, monetized, data mined, monitored addiction machines and let our creativity flourish again."
why should I make my own website?
web3 has been overtaken by capitalism & conformity. websites that once were meant to be fun online social spaces now exist solely to steal your data and sell you things. it sucks!! building a personal site is a great way to express yourself and take control of your online experience.
what would I even put on a website?
the best part about making your own site is that you can do literally whatever the hell you want! focus on a specific subject or make it a wild collection of all your interests. share your art! make a shrine for one of your interests! post a picture of every bird you see when you step outside! make a collection of your favorite blinkies! the world is your oyster !! here are some cool example sites to inspire you: recently updated neocities sites | it can be fun to just look through these and browse people's content! space bar | local interstellar dive bar creature feature | halloween & monsters big gulp supreme peanutbuttaz | personal site dragodiluna linwood | personal site patho grove | personal site

in conclusion
i want everyone to make a neocities site because it's fun af and i love seeing everyone's weird personal sites that they made outside of the control of capitalism :) say hi to me on neocities

Our Gateways
So, we know we're a gateway system. Not a very active one, with walk-ins being uncommon, and mostly they settle in long-term.
Since we've gone through so many "iterations" due to forced fusion for whatever reasons, oftentimes there are headmates that disappear in the collapse, and at some point, they walk right back in just as they were.
Our Gahan mentioned that he saw a gateway try to open. We have three, one that is open, and two that are rusted shut. After a few months of the "new iteration" after collapse, we often find that the central gateway is no longer rusted.
This seems to be a gateway into previous versions of our own system, rather than external universes. This isn't dormancy, since it's from total system collapse via fusion that makes them "go away" in the first place.
Any other gateways have something similar?

So I decided to make a drawing challenge for systems and plural people (aka, me explaining Systember)
Systember is a lot like other drawing challenges, except instead of taking place in October like a lot of other ones, it takes place in September, and is focused on plurality and systems. (Why September? Purely because of the name. That's literally the only reason.)
If you decide to participate, please tag your works with "systember" so I can look at them all cause I'm a curious little goober :33 And please reblog this post to get the word out!
List and questions under the cut
Prompt list:
Together
Protective
Animal
Peaceful
Love
Family
Introject
Memory
Blurry
Switch
Spectator
Nonhuman
Self
Friends
Body
Sadness
Little
Happy
Glass
Headcanon
Gaming
Art
Relax
Hobby
Nature
Colors
Anger
Parent
Shiny
Your choice!
Questions you might have (and answers you might need):
"Do I have to follow the prompts?" Absolutely not, they're just a suggestion. I tried to keep them vague enough to allow anyone to participate. The plural experience is wide and varied, and this challenge hopes to celebrate that.
"Can I participate if I'm ____?" This challenge is open to all systems/plurals/multiples, no matter their origins or beliefs. If you share a body with other people in some way, this challenge is open to you. While I can't exactly stop singlets from participating in this challenge, it's not exactly meant for them. That being said, I want no syscourse to interfere with this challenge. We're here to draw, not to argue.
"What if I don't draw everyday?" That's fine! Do what you can! You don't have to make fully fleshed out pieces, you don't have to draw every single day, you don't have to participate at all, no one's holding you at gunpoint to draw these. Just have fun to the best of your ability.
"This was posted too late! I have no time to prepare!" Yeah, uh... I forgor. Sorry.
"Are you going to be doing this?" I'm gonna fuckin try! Although most of my art will probably be posted to @somewhatdailyanthrostuck since we have a lot of Homestuck introjects and I need ideas for my "daily" drawing blog.

LockHost
Ive been looking for a system term to describe myself for a while, and decided fuck it we ball and made one myself
A lockhost is an alter in a system that seems to be the 'main' host, and is almost always fronting. They may also decribe themself as 'front-locked' or 'front sticky,' but this may not always be the case. They may be able to leave front or the front area, but are usually aware of whats going on with front anyways, and they are quite often pulled back to front within a short period of time. Because of this, they usually become the bodies 'main identity' in a system.
Other alters may use the identity of the lockhost as a mask in the case that they do not want to show themself, and may also interact with or control the body via the lockhost. In the case of a lockhost being an introject, it would not be uncommon for several doubles of the lockhosts source to also be present in the system.
Lockhosts may also act similarly to 'Observers,' in that they are always aware of the body to some degree, and can quickly be pulled to front in the case that they happen to not be fronting in the traditional sense. The lockhost may also serve many other roles in the system, but not always.
In the case of a lockhost also being part of a subsystem or side system, they may or may not be a lockhost of those as well.
!!!THIS CREATOR OF THIS TERM IS PRO ENDO. I CANNOT STOP ANTI-ENDOS FROM USING IT BUT DO NOT INTERACT WITH ME OR MY POSTS OR I WILL BLOCK. ENDO NEURTALS ARE FINE TO INTERACT. PLEASE RESPECT OUR BOUNDARIES!!!
We are aware that there is a similar term to this that was made by an anti endo, however this term was coined without knowledge of the post existing. Do with that info what you will, keep us out of discourse. And like we said before, we don't care who uses this term, but we ask that anti endos not reblogged so we don't get dragged into discourse.

I'd just like to add that it's claims and underwriting :( agents aren't always as bad but they're not part of the claim process usually! ❤️ (I used to work as a health insurance agent before feeling too shitty about it being disabled)
Japanese approach to healthcare
Doctors: It's very unusual for you to experience these symptoms when you are so young. That concerns us, so we're going to conduct a lot of exams immediately to find out what's happening and how to treat it.
US approach to healthcare
Doctors: It's very unusual for you to experience these symptoms when you are so young. That concerns us, so we're going to ask your insurance to approve a lot of exams.
Insurance agent: No. :)
Doctors: why not?
Insurance agents: She is young, so she's probably fine.
Doctors: She's very sick actually.
Insurance agent: Not if she's youngggg :)
