This post will not reach anyone. This is a message in a bottle, and the message is that it won't be read by anyone. It's the only way to a certain outcome. You have to act as though you will fail. My words are missing the target because no one will ever take them seriously.

i downloaded in rainbows for $0 in october 2007 and felt kinda bad about that
i listened to it a lot
i noticed a divide between its aesthetic and the cc aesthetic which i was obsessed with at the time
the cc aesthetic felt far superior in an ethical sense, it appeared to be completely unconcerned with industry, unlike "yorke, greenwood & partners"
it also aligned with my belief that a limited sonic vocabulary is far more capable of painting a powerful emotional scene, than a bunch of bells and whistles, which are borrowed anyway
or maybe it comes down to melody
reckoner vs air war

I am a musician. That sounds so useless, because people's misappreciation of music has got us to the point where music lost its communal quality. Music used to connect people, now I feel that no two people can be found who have a similar musical life. Instead of reaching universality through particularity, current musical success tends to be based on telling the audience things they've heard a million times before, but louder. It's a sales principle, which used to be applied only to the basic outlines of a musical act, leaving the particularities of the musical content to be discovered by each listener. Now the content itself is being sold, and the content needs to be trivialised to be sold. It's very difficult to sell a complex idea, so trivial ones get the strongest backing. Like Zappa said, we were better off with classic businessmen who didn't really know what they were selling, but it could be put on a record, and that was enough to put it on the market. Now the code makes the discovery for us, which is no discovery at all, it's spoon-feeding. No choice needs to be made on the part of the listener, other than deciding they could "use some music". In the end, music will be completely devoid of meaning, we'll be left with just noise, and not in the sense of noise music. No one will feel anything, however loud they're spoken to. And I imagine that the sales machine will stop working at that point. And music will possibly retreat to it's root, which is giving an extra dimension to the mundane tasks of life, in order for the experience to become shared.

If any sort of romance ever actually did push you to consider "death", I doubt you'd be making the grand "all or nothing" gesture. Because, guess what, nothing is worse than "nothing", though I'm kind of a Kelvin scale type of person. And two is better than one.
i take love so seriously ppl who treat love as transactional DISGUST meeeeeee or serial monogamists or ppl that are mean to their partners. Or people that are in relationships with ppl they hate and act like victims bc theyre “scared of being alone”. Ppl that treat romance like a job. Or an ego thing. Its so grosssss and yuckyyyyy
