Sometimes I wonder about the Mirror Bride like

is she supposed to jump out like that or was that just an accident? Usually the Phantom doesn’t seem too surprised when the mannequin lurches forward, only when Christine faints.

Which means that the mannequin is supposed to lean forwards with outstretched arms. Erik built her that way.

Like she’s going to to hug someone.

POTO Trivia:

The lit candelabras that rise from the water were not done with special effects or CGI lights: the special wicks ignited when they reached the air. This effect was done in one take and didn’t work again after that.

“E for Vendetta." 

"E” referring to Erik, of course. Syncing V for Vendetta with Phantom isn’t exactly a stretch. Witty, misanthropic, deformed masked men abducting beautiful young women? Check. Capes, hats, high melodrama? Check. Murder? Check. Explosives blowing up large buildings? Check. It totally works! Specifically, I’m referencing this scene. Incidentally, I think Natalie Portman would make a beautiful Christine, and I have a feeling she’d play the character with a lot of spunk, which I love.
