i know most leftists agree that everybody should have a right to food, water, shelter, and healthcare but i think a vitally important fifth pillar is privacy. people should not be compelled to be tracked, monitored, or to share personal space with others to access their other essential rights

people are absolutely EVIL about the boundaries of "picky eaters". no, they do not have to try it. yes, they can know they don't like it without having eaten it before. no, they probably have not suddenly grown a taste for the food they've said they hate. no, they probably are not going to like it in the Special Way This One Place Cooks It. yes, you are being a bad friend if you try to "trick" them into eating it anyway

JK Rowling is responsible for the death and pain of too many trans people to count in my country and I cannot tolerate her new way of trying to gain cultural and financial power in any way shape or form.

i keep having these really vivid dreams of friends i’m no longer in contact with and in these dreams we are still at war but then i wake up and i can feel sadness sitting on my chest like a hundred pound weight. i know it no longer matters who was wrong or right. nothing will ever be the same again. strange how the passage of time is both a blessing and a curse.

Alright as a fandom we all agree that Will still had nightmares about Skandia after he returned to Redmont. But I think the same thing applies to Halt. Like after Will was kidnapped,while searching for him and even when he found him and returned Redmont,he still haunted by dreams about, his kidnapping, maybe being sold to another place besides Skandia and never being able to find him again, his death, which becomes more different and painful each time, the treatment he endured in Skandia, being made dependent on warmweed,Daniel ,and his mother whose name he doesn't even know, accusing him.

And do you know what the worst part is? He found him in his dreams more than once, right beside him, alive and well, and he saw that he was there with him. He believed it with all his soul and felt relieved, but then he opened his eyes, woke up, and realized that it wasn't real.The harshness of reality was at play once again.

Imagine this happening in Gallica. Horace just wake up in the middle of the night for some reason and saw Halt sitting on the bed, fully awake, just staring at the wall opposite him. Some mornings he notices the dark circles under his eyes and realizes he hasn't slept at all during the night.

And even after finding Will and returning to Redmont, he still wakes up randomly in the middle of the night and goes to Will's room to check if it's real this time or is this too a dream

when you spend a signifigant amount of time being kinda apathetic to your own existence (depression, dysphoria, whatever) sometimes when things are getting better your brain will suddenly overcorrect and start hitting you with "what if you DIED in your SLEEP TONIGHT. what if you CHOKE on AIR. get UP!!! BE AFRAID!!! THE TIGERS ARE COMING!!!" like thanks girl have you considered a middle ground maybe. can we get a goldilocks zone up in here. waiter my soup is NOT just right.

please god stop talking about diets and weight loss in front of kids. especially if those kids are girls. and especially if you’re someone those kids look up to. but really just stop talking about about diets and weight loss when children are in earshot at all. I promise you you’re doing far more harm than good.
