Merlin registers on the uncanny valley for most people that pay too much attention to him, because he is of the old relegion. Not human, not mortal, not quite right. His breathing is perfectly controlled, he can hear and see and smell better then most anyone else, and he always meets your eyes if you're staring at him as if he knows you're there, and he can complete other people's sentences almost like he can read their thoughts, and he has feelings that are twelve times as useful as even the most venerated knight's instincts. The air buzzes around him a little, animals flock to him and people just feel better when he's around, he flinches either a little too early or a little too late to be normal as if he forgets when he's supposed to respond reflexively. Your eyes will skim over him some days and be drawn to him other's. It's fine. It's all fine don't worry about it.

Does Medusa have snakes for all her hair? Armpit, pubic, eyelash? What about the little hairs inside herr ears & nostrils? The hairs on her arms & legs?

Do the snakes shed? Do they need to eat? Do they have their own tummies or do they get nutrition from Medusa eating? Can they breathe for her?

Are they all individual snakes with their own like snakey brains or does she control them like snakey fingers? Is Medusa kind of like a hydra but all the snakes are her extra heads instead of her growing new heads post-chopchop?
