look, look, you could argue that because arthur's love for lancelot is being compared to his love for gawain's in this passage, that the type of love arthur feels is the same familial love he feels toward gawain. BUT you could also argue that this passage starts by specifically saying gawain's love for lancelot is different from the love lancelot's family has for him, so when gawain's love for lancelot is compared to arthur's love for lancelot, arthur's love is also being differentiated from any familial love toward lancelot and is more similar to the love gawain feels for lancelot, even though the quanity of love arthur feels for lancelot is being juxtaposed against his familal love for gawain. therefore, if we see gawain's love for lancelot as romantic, arthur's love for lancelot should also be read as romantic. therefore, this is a win for us arthur/lancelot truthers.

The ships in bbc merlin are so fascinatingly confusing to me

I’m a whore for merthur but all the other pairings just work too ??? Like: Morgana x Gwen, yes let’s go lesbians. Arthur x Gwen/Lancelot x Gwen, afucking fairytale. Merlin x Gwen, adorable af. Morgana x Merlin would be unstoppable. Arthur x Lancelot, my jock boyfriends. Merlin x Lancelot, like Gwencelot but with more SASS. Gwaine x Merlin, chaotic partners in crime. & Any combination amongst the Knights of the Round Table is just so wholesome.

There’s just so many possibilities bc everyone works with EVERYONE at the SAME TIME & my brain is just constantly overloaded

Anyways I love this show, literally got hooked after the first 4 episodes

Just some scenes where they were cute together 💕

Absolutely love Arthur’s playful and challenging smile he gave Lancelot. AND Lancelot’s serious and focused gaze. Watching two gorgeous men giving intense looks to each other is an absolute treat.

Two gorgeous men fighting with a single shirt on?? Such a treat. Can Arthur's shirt open even lower!? Seriously why is that shirt like that? 😳 Lancelot's looked relatively normal. (Not less hot ofc)

Arthur pointed the stick at Lancelot’s chest with that provoking smile was 🫣 too much sexual tension omg

“ On your knees" 😳(Bradley's voice was perfect...)

The whole feast scene was so good. Love how close they sat, how they chatted about girls and how they smiled at each other. They looked so happy 🥺

I like that Arthur closed his eyes and bowed his head, didn’t want to watch Lancelot’s sad sad face.

Look how devastating Arthur was to watch Lancelot leave! And twice!

I really like how gentle and genuinely confused Arthur sounded when he told Lancelot he had proved himself. (btw is that music in the background the epic romantic theme that played in every Arwen kissing scene XD My Arlance brain is shrieking)
