omegle shutting down. i know the internet is going to make jokes like it always does but reading what he had to say actually made me tear up, to think that man fought to make his little website he made when he was eighteen after experiencing s*xual trauma something its not because he saw the good in his own creation and it almost destroyed him in the process. im glad he decided to get rid of it all together for the better of everyone.

no story in our generation is as tragic as merthur like… imagine being merlin. you find out that you were mere pawns in another’s games, and whilst you believed everything you sacrificed was to keep the person you loved most safe, you now realise that your job wasn’t anything more than raising him to be a pig to be slaughtered at the right time. you spent a decade losing everything because the single goal of keeping him safe was more important to you than anything else - than your happiness and your freedom and your life - but not only did you fail, but you find out you were doomed to fail from the start. you kill yourself thinking about all the things you could have done differently to save him, but fate’s cruel joke was that nothing you could ever have done mattered. he had one foot in the grave since the day you met him. you are two sides of the same coin, so he was always supposed to die when he shouldn’t, and you’re doomed to live when he couldn’t.
you can love him, but you can’t keep him.
