step 1 of my return! i want to wait before i dive back into the sims with all the bugs that i'm hearing have surfaced with the new update, as well as practice everything with photoshop and editing (as i've forgotten everything...). feel free to join if you like animal crossing ;)

hello! i'm back...?

this is probably going to sound a little weird as i still haven't played this properly game in ages - however, i have a long backlog of screenies for this game still on my switch. i'm planning on starting back up on my simblr soon, so i've decided i'm going to post my remaining screenies for acnh on here to keep all my screenies in one place (and not taking up room on my switch or hardrive...), as well as to practice using photoshop again.

so yeah, maybe this will motivate me to play the game again? idk, i'm not making any promises. i am planning on moving soon with my boyfriend and we do plan to set up a switch dock wherever we put our tv...

anyway, see you soon! time to get editing and bulk up my queue :D

03/03/2022 - the long awaited update is here! all the missing pack icons should now be added, enjoy, and again, apologies for the wait :) unfortunately, it looks like we might have a similar issue with the modern menswear kit icon as i did with the realm of magic icon a while back... i can only find a tiny version of it in the game files :( i have made a scuffed version for now (marked by ATTEMPT in the download file). all i can do is keep checking to see if a proper one gets added...

✨ sims 4 simple icons ✨

i think we can all agree the 2019 rebrand was pretty ugly, so we stuck with the old pack icons as long as we could - whether that was just using the old ones in our download posts for builds or even using mods to revert them back in game (*cough* ME). tbh, the new colours didn’t bother me, but the new design of them wasn’t exactly easiest on eyes… so i went and found these - the icons used in the cas and build + buy catalogs. simpler, cleaner - and not a far cry from the ones we had before. i mainly did this for personal use, but i thought they maybe be useful for some other simmer out there, so here you go! this is uploaded on my birthday too… so consider this my gift to you so we can celebrate together! i scrolled through probably thousands of game icons and files so you don’t have to :)

you can easily use these icons in place the ones of those in @ohmysims‘ nifty icons or @nolan-sims‘s icon overhaul codes (i know i will be doing so!). simply upload each pack icon into a text post on tumblr, click the settings/cog icon in the top right of the post, switch the text editor to html, copy the link ending in .png, and replace corresponding link within the the img src line of each group of code (you should be able to tell which pack is which with the img alt line stating its name before the matching img src line). i know this isn’t the best explanation, but i don’t really want to just copy the code as it was someone else’s original creation beforehand, so if you need any help, shoot me a message! @nolan-sims​‘s icon overhaul does have a lot of helpful links to help with the coding as well as to previous versions.

all credit to ea for the original icons of course. the icons are one zipped file together under the cut - unfortunatley i can not upload them separately as the simfileshare doesn’t host .png files :( but use them however you wish! let me know if you have any problems ♡

ok ok i know i'm basically inactive at this point but was browsing for my subscriptions on youtube and saw @lilsimsie's new tierlist video. thought the icons in the thumbnail looked familiar and lo and behold she used MY icons ahaha

i'm honoured and thanks for the credit :D currently home for the holidays and got a lot of uni work to do but will try and extract all of the missing icons asap!

07/10/21 - well if i’d known two more kits would be releasing so soon i probably would have waited to do the big update for this... anyway, the two new kit icons have been added (with the one for incheon arrivals in particular fixed missing which is a different colour from the other kit icons as well as missing the white texture to fill the icon!)

26/09/21 - it’s been a while! i’ve added all the icons for the dlc that has been released since the last update to this post. in addition, i’ve had some more practice in photoshop, meaning i’ve been able to colour-correct some of the icons that in the original files that were, for some reason, slightly different colours from one another. these are marked as FIXED, and just make the whole set look more uniform. enjoy :)
