A unit of drones from SMFX Models and More (https://smfxmodels.co.uk/) which make a fine addition to my Sci-fi collection - already using one in my Stargrave campaign, and the full unit of 5 will be brilliant in Xenos Rampant! Jon Hodgson backdrop for the scene

A personal project I've been working on over the past few weekends is this Blacksmith's house!
The house itself is scratchbuilt with foam board, card and balsa wood, with air dry clay for the stonework.
I used a SPELLCROW chimney and a Zealot Miniatures door. The MDF base is from Warbases.
The adjoining forge is a 3d printed piece from IGSMinis, (and is able to accommodate an LED) and I've also used some of their crates and barrels.
The miniature is a Boris Wołoszyn Miniatures sculpt from Westfalia Full step-by step of the process here: https://www.pandaemoniumminiatures.com/post/making-my-blacksmith-s-house

I'm looking forward to a Conquest game at the end of the month, and I'm aiming to paint up as many of my remaining unpainted units as possible. I finished my Imperial Officer yesterday and used the alternative pose options, but kept the bare head, and trimmed down the neck join on the helmet so it could rest on the ground at his feet. Also hobby-health wise I got that overwhelmed feeling of having too much to paint so, as I have invested a lot in Conquest lately, I did a 'one-in-one-out' and boxed up a lot of the random minis I would probably never use - these will be donated to Game Therapy UK for their various projects (go and check them out!). I feel quite unburdened! :)

Just completed a 'variety pack' Warhammer commission of reinforcements for four of my client's tournament armies - moving on to a sizable force of Drukhari next, with the outside chance of carving out some time to paint for my own Conquest army in time for June's game!

I was at UK Games Expo at the weekend, and apart from playing lots of great games and having lovely chats with a lot of folks, I was also invited to paint on the Friday morning at the Ammo stand to try out the Ionic paint range for the first time! So here is the mini I painted that morning while chatting with folks who came to the stand, a Neophyte for my Conquest Hundred Kingdoms army! I added the final touches this morning, just the basing and a decal for the book :)

Zeo Genesis is launching on Gamefound on April 29th!
Zeo Genesis is a scaleable skirmish game with big mech suits from Best Hobby Games and is written by Andy Chambers with narrative by Gav Thorpe.
For updates on the game the best place is https://gamefound.com/.../zeo-genesis-scalable-smirmish-game
To help promote the launch, I'm one of the miniature painters commissioned to paint up a set of the figures and show them off in the run up to the 29th April. These are 3d printed prototypes representing what will be in the starter set - the release versions will be HIPS plastic kits on sprues
Pictured with the minis are a few of the excellent new card buildings designed by Acid House Terrain  specifically for Zeo Genesis. I've used a Jon Hodgson backdrop for this scene.

Zeo Genesis is launching on Gamefound on April 29th!
Zeo Genesis is a scaleable skirmish game with big mech suits and I can tell you it's a lot of fun, having played a demo game with Gav Thorpe at UK Games Expo last year! The game is from Best Hobby Games and is written by Andy Chambers with narrative by Gav Thorpe.

To help promote the launch, I'm one of the miniature painters commissioned to paint up a set of the figures and show them off in the run up to the 29th April. Main pics are of the first finished Zeo Stormer for this set, and below are some of the work-in-progress figures from today, a few of the figures after I'd just assembled them, and also some painted Zeos from my own collection (free via Discord and for playing a demo game at UK Games expo last year).

I'm painting a fair amount of Craftworld Aeldari at the moment for a client - here are the ones I've completed this week, with more to follow next week. After this there will be a lot of Drukhari - the whole set will be fielded as a combined force and as separate armies, along with the sizable contingent of Harlequins I've already completed - it's shaping up to be an epic collection (well, it already is tbf!)!

Latest set for one of my clients - mythological creatures from Blue Giant Studios. Loved painting these, and I think Cerberus is my favourite!

On the last couple of weekends I've been reaching into my 'to-paint' box and adding more soldier options for my Frostgrave warbands. I have a few warbands available because I teach the game at my local club, so it's good to be able to provide everything for new players. These are from Midlam Miniatures - they have lovely little Kickstarter campaigns from time to time, usually to fund production of 9 hand sculpted metal figures with a 10th as a stretch goal at around £25 for a set, and then the figures get added to the shop later down the line. So the 2 at the top are from the set of Rangers, and the 5 at the bottom are from the Assassins set - my plan with those is to field the ones wielding daggers as Thieves, and the ones wielding swords and daggers as Treasure Hunters. Rangers and Treasure Hunters are my favourite soldier class for their speed and tactical flexibility. As others have pointed out, these would be perfect for Rangers of Shadow Deep too! For the scenic shots, I've used some of the excellent Jon Hodgson backdrop books.
