i don’t understand people who love a problematic character but get angry when people mention the evil things that character did. like, that’s your man! he’s proud he did all that, support his hobbies!

i am begging young queers to find the line between affectionately ribbing or lampooning your own community (eg using camp, contextual slurs, stereotypes, etc) and just being like. homophobic.

if you haven't earned your salt by living in community (not online), or if you're not a gay man yourself, then calling gay men cunty, diva, twink, bitchy, etc JUST for having feminine mannerisms is just homophobia. it's not affectionate. it's weird.

i'm not just talking about edwin, i see this with aziraphale and the new doctor too. none of them are divas, they're just fucking gay. sometimes they get snippy, just like every other character.

idk like. sometimes i read a post and it looks like bullying, almost, even if it's meant well.

i had a 4 hour drive today so i put on the revenge of the sith audiobook and the part where palpatine tells anakin to kill dooku came on right around the time that i saw a cybertruck and for a brief and beautiful moment when he said "do it" i had the urge to ram my honda full on into that shitty ass car

I think clone wars dark side anakin is my favorite dark side anakin. because yeah, in the movies, you can tell he's gonna fall. maybe not in the phantom menace, but in attack of the clones and revenge of the sith, it's so obvious! everything about him just oozes both light and dark, the dark steadily winning. but clone wars anakin? clone wars anakin? oh, he's a sun. he's blindingly bright and he's happy. we can go full episodes without a trace of the dark side showing up on his face or in his actions, which makes when he does go dark even more jarring. when he snaps and attacks and the imperial march plays faintly in the background, when not even ten minutes earlier in the episode he was joking around with ahsoka. that is peak dark side anakin to me, because that is what i imagine anakin truly was. happy and fun and then snapping, terrifying. it's why no one believed it when he fell. why obi-wan and padme and ahsoka didn't see it coming.
