You and Lando had been dating since before the season started and he was incredibly protective of you and your relationship. You were still getting used to all this attention and it wasn't always positive attention. It was still a hard pill to swallow that people hated you simply because you were with Lando. Your career was related to social media so you were well aware of how negative the online space could get, you just never expected negative attention like that to come your way.

It was easy to understand why so many people all over the world adored him and quite frankly, wished they could be with him. The only one lucky enough to do that was you though and you were reminded of how lucky you were each time you looked at him. It was so easy for you to fall for him and being with him felt so natural even if the circumstances surrounding the two of you were a little unusual. He was fighting for a championship this year and people had alluded that you were a distraction and if he wasn't dating you and just stayed single, he would be the one leading the championship right now. You continued to support him though and you thought the notion that he had to be single to win a championship was ridiculous. He reassured you too that he would be doing much worse this year if not for you and your constant support.

It almost made you feel guilty that you would be staying in the hotel room tonight while he went to the movie premiere without you. You had an important work call this evening though and you had never been to a movie premiere before. You both decided that it was for the best for him to just go alone tonight. He was just as supportive of you and your career as you were of him. You loved the flexibility of being able to work from home - or wherever home was while you traveled with Lando from race to race. You were there every race weekend to support him and just the attention from that had been a lot but it was all worth it to be there for him.

You catch his eye as he straightens out his suit, the fondness written all over your face. He looked so good and you were realizing how difficult it was going to be to let him go tonight when he looked that good and you wished you could just spend the night appreciating the view of your boyfriend.

"What do you think, love? Too much?," he asks you, a twinkle in his eye because he saw the way that you were looking at him and blatantly checking him out.

You get up off the bed and walk over to him, helping him to put on his watch. "You look so good.. Letting you leave here tonight is actually the hardest thing I have ever had to do. I don't know how I feel about everyone else getting to see you look this good." You kiss his cheek gently after his watch was on.

Lando smirks back at you, running his fingers through your hair. "I wish you were coming with me tonight but you'll be by my side at the next one. If you were by my side tonight, every one would be looking at you and not me. You always say it's me who is the catch in this relationship but I don't think you know just how far gone I am for you. And even while I am at this thing tonight, I will be counting down the minutes until I can get back here and get back to my girl." He plays with the hem of the shirt you were wearing - one of his Quadrant shirts and both of you were well aware that you had nothing on underneath it. You wanted to make it just as difficult for him to leave you.

You smile shyly back at him, his words always making your heart race. Just when you thought, you couldn't fall more in love with him, he opened his mouth and said the sweetest things to you. "Trust me, I will be counting down the minutes too. This suit looks great but it's going to look even better on the floor when you come back. Don't keep me waiting too long, Lan. A girl can only wait so long for release when she's alone in a hotel room thinking about her hot boyfriend..," you sigh longingly, completely melting into him when he crashes his lips against yours.

You kiss him back slowly and passionately, it taking everything in you not to escalate things further but you had your call soon and his car was about to pick him up for the premiere. You wrap your arms around his neck as you continue to kiss him slowly, finally pulling away when you both heard a knock at the door. "You better go before I tie you to that bed, baby..," you speak softly, your cheeks flushed from the kiss as you stare back at him.

Lando looks back at you with just as much heat in his gaze. "Don't go around making promises you can't keep, my love. I will be back tonight and don't start anything without me..," he warns you playfully, squeezing your ass gently before pressing a quick kiss to your lips and heading towards the door.

You bite your lip gently as you watch him head to the door. "Oh, did you think it was a promise? It was definitely a threat," you flirt with him, smirking as you hear him groan as he walks out the door. You fall back on the bed once he was gone, already missing him. Lucky for you, your work call wasn't going to be very long tonight and you would spend the rest of the time live streaming the red carpet just for glimpses of your boyfriend. And despite all the fans that would be in the comments talking about how fine he was, you were relieved to know that he was all yours and he was coming back tonight to you and you alone.

author's note: just a cute piece inspired by how good lando looked at the f1 movie premiere and also lightly inspired by tate mcrae. there may be a part 2 to follow!!

She nervously fiddles with her ring on the way to the event, it being her first red carpet event in a long time. She found she just preferred to lay low, the media circus being a lot to handle any time that she did attend an event. She was trying to get back out there again though, tired of hiding her life away. She went through an incredibly public breakup last year and it was hard to not let the media scrutiny get to her when she was dealing with the worst heartbreak of her life.

She was busy working on her next album, wanting to make it even better than the last. She had forced herself to work even harder over this past year, if only to keep the loneliness at bay. She found solace in her friends though even if they did try to set her up way too often. She insisted did not have time for romance though. She could not allow herself to get distracted. Although, she could admit it would be nice to get some new inspiration because she had kind of hit a road block in her songwriting.

When she decided to do a song for the soundtrack for the F1 movie, she hadn't anticipated the song completely blowing up and it leading to her attending the red carpet for the film's premiere. The engagement on social media had been incredibly overwhelming though and she noticed Lando Norris had posted using her sound as well. His team sent her over some of his merch and she posted a video of herself wearing it while promoting her song. She hadn't expected him to comment on that as well.

He was really cute and she may have been developing a tiny crush on him. She had a reputation for dating mostly British men. Not that she necessarily looked for them but she did have a weakness for the accent. Her friends teased her when she spoke about him but she didn't see anything wrong with crushing on someone she would likely never meet.

When she got the invite to the premiere and her label insisted she go, she could not help but wonder if she would see him there tonight too. For the first time in a long time, she found herself fantasizing about a romantic encounter. She sat in the back of the car on her way to the premiere, smoothing out her black sparkly dress. It was made custom for her and she knew she looked good. She scrolled on social media while in the back of the car, smiling to herself when a video of Lando saying she was cute stumbled across her feed. It appeared her crush was not entirely one sided.

Her publicist shook her head beside her and she felt her cheeks flush, putting her phone back in her bag and handing it to her publicist when the car finally pulled up to the carpet. She took a deep breath, these kinds of events never really getting easier. She had been in the spotlight for several years now but it was always overwhelming to be greeted by so many camera flashes and people shouting your name. No matter how grateful she was for it, she still got nervous butterflies every single time.

Once the door opened, she stepped outside of the car, immediately straightening her posture and beginning her walk down the carpet. She posed for the cameras, grateful she did not have to give an interview like the stars of the movie did and probably the drivers who were rumored to be attending. She was at the end of the carpet when she heard some loud screaming, wondering to herself who had just arrived that was making the fans lose their minds.

She glanced over to where the noise was coming from, seeing none other than Lando Norris himself posing in front of the cameras and he looked good. He was well-dressed in a suit and her heart practically jumped out of her chest at the sight of him. She had butterflies in her stomach and it had nothing to do with the chaos of the carpet and everything to do with the attractive man she was staring at.

Before she could look away, Lando was locking eyes with her and smiling right at her as if he knew it was her looking at him. She felt her heartbeat skyrocket but before she could smile back at him, he was being whisked away to do interviews. She had no idea that the cameras had just picked up the interaction that happened. That picture was certainly going to be worth a thousand words tomorrow.

She heads inside, saying hello to some familiar faces before going to find her assigned seat. She sat with her publicist, nowhere near the stars of the movie or the drivers but she could not ignore that her heart rate sped up every time she caught a glimpse of Lando on screen. The movie was enjoyable and if anything, it made her tempted to maybe attend a race soon. And it had nothing to do with Brad Pitt's portrayal of a Formula 1 driver.

She attends the after-party, knowing it would be good exposure for her to be spotted there as well and it never hurt to mingle with people in the industry. It was all part of the business and her team constantly reminded her that it was good to make new connections. After mingling for a while, she headed to the open bar for a breather.

Usually she loved talking about her excitement for new music and was happy to answer questions about what she was working on but she felt protective of this project. And she may have been a little stuck and it was not like she wanted to admit that to people who she may end up working with one day.

She takes a long sip of her drink before hearing a soft voice next to her say, "I'll have what she's having."

She looks up, swallowing thickly when seeing Lando standing right beside her. God, he was beautiful up close. And why did he have to smell so damn good? She was trying to convince herself that this was just a meaningless crush but all rational thought went out the window when he was standing so close.

"Hi," she breathes out.

"Hi," he repeats back to her, a small smile pulling at his lips. "It's nice to finally meet you in person. I've been a fan for a while," he admits.

"So I have heard," she smiles mischievously at him, watching as his eyes practically sparkle as she speaks.

"Did you enjoy the film?," he asks her after politely thanking the bartender for the drink. "My favorite part was the end credits," he says, referring to when her song played as the credits rolled.

She blushes, loving his attention on her all too much. "Really? My favorite part was seeing a brief glimpse of this McLaren driver. He's real easy on the eyes," she watches him blush before continuing. "It's so cool that Oscar was in the movie too," she adds, wanting to make him squirm a bit. She was unable to hold in her giggle as he clutches his chest as if she had wounded him deeply.

"Oh, don't hurt me in front of all these people!," he smirks back at her, taking a small sip of his drink but never once taking his eyes off of her.

"I did really like the movie though. It makes me wonder what it would be like to go to a real race. I think I could go for the full race experience."

He looks back at her, unable to keep the smile off his face. "Yeah? I think that could definitely be arranged. I think you would look great in papaya."

"Most people would be afraid to rock orange but lucky for you, I look good in every color..," she leans into him, a playful smirk on her lips.

She had not flirted with anyone in a very long time but she could not tear her eyes off of Lando. She had not anticipated on a lot of things in this past year but she was going to remain grateful for whatever led her to this moment because she had a feeling this was going to be a summer worth remembering.
