sometimes political violence is a necessity.

The question is not "is political violence sometimes a necessity?" Most people would agree with that in principle, although there would be massive disagreement about what exactly "sometimes" means. But at the extremes, I imagine that even most pacifists would find the violent activities of the French resistance to Nazi rule to be a justified "necessity."

The relevant question is: "does political violence have to be a necessity sometimes?" Is that an unavoidable feature of all political systems, or is it a symptom of flawed political systems?

My answer is that, while some marginal amount of political violence is likely unavoidable, most of the world's actually-existing political violence is a symptom of flawed political systems, evidence of a failure of representation. I am motivated by the belief that all violence is bad, even in the situations when it is justified/"necessary," and that our goal should therefore be the creation of a system which minimizes the level of "necessary" violence to its lowest possible amount.

Which Blades in the Dark Playbook Are You?

Blades in the Dark is a game about scoundrels eking out a living in a city haunted by ghosts & powered by demon blood.

Cutter: A dangerous and intimidating fighter. You're good at getting hit and carrying a bunch of shit. The crew looks at you to break windows, loom menacingly, and punch ghosts.

Hound: A deadly sharpshooter and fighter. Your skill is Gun. When you need to track a target, you won't let them out of your sight. You're often the advance party, scouting out the joint before the hit.

Leech: A saboteur and technician. Completely at home with a lab full of bubbling chemicals and poisons. Not afraid to make bombs. You might also be able to make little construct buddies.

Lurk: A stealthy infiltrator and burglar. Shadows are your friend, and so are dark alleyways. You're probably the one who at any given moment might be asked to jump off a building or rappel in from the ceiling.

Slide: A subtle manipulator and spy. You can grease palms and social situations, because people like you, even if they shouldn't. You're the first person folks look to for a party invite, as well as the one who can lie your ass off to get everyone else inside.

Spider: A devious mastermind. You have your finger in a lot of pies, and plenty of friends who owe you favors. You're the one running this crew, and you'll run it even if you end up in prison. You saw this coming, after all.

Whisper: An arcane adept and channeller. You're into some weird shit, whether that's talking to ghosts, summoning demons, or controlling the weather. If folks need a ritualist, they're looking to you.

There are some late-game and third-party playbooks out there as well, like The Hull and the Sleuth! You can name those playbooks in the tags.

I had it pointed out to me that Samus' design in Brawl is from Zero Mission and the idea that Samus showed up to the Smash verse non chronologically was funny to me.

I am personally a big fan of DMC4's character models, and the overall vibe similar to MGRR and early Bayonetta is to die for. Also he's just objectively hot in this game especially
