Something I've noticed with Disney live action remakes, is that the film that there "Adapting" hard quotes, the original has an aspect of something that has changed from the year it was created, so really it feels like there correcting themselves to fit the modern aspect of it, killing its creativity making it bland to fit the new narrative just turn a profit

Is there a level where they KNOW their form of storytelling, even if good, is becoming obsolete with people turning to different types of media (i.e with storytelling and ways to access the media) and try and use what they know vs what they could be?

(Or maybe it's just to please the patriarchy)

I watched D.E.B.S. yesterday for the first time and oh my god it was so fun. It’s campy and unserious as hell being your typical 2000s movie, but also gay. 10/10.
