☼  - Now if I gave away all of my secrets, they wouldn’t be secrets, now would they? I suppose at this point I might as well be honest, if that word even has meaning anymore. Most of the beauties I create take time getting adjusted; to the blood, the hunt, the kill. When I was reborn, I took to it well. It felt right. What no one truly knew was just how much I actually enjoyed it. The masochist becomes the sadist. 

✿ - All my memories are old now, honey. I think the earliest I can remember, somewhere in my pre-teen youth. My mother always had to be so glamorous; she would spend hours getting ready and trying her damnedest to look like the wealthy socialites. The other women in town, they would whisper when we’d leave the house. My mother was so damned resilient and kept her head high even though being a single mother was one of the worst things you could be according to those sniveling bitches. Mother would smirk when she’d hear comments about how hard it must be, poor and widowed without a big. strong man to save her. Little did they know, my mother had everything she needed and she was getting it from their fucking husbands.

Just another supply run. The words he told his group echo in his mind. He’d always told the others never to go alone, but he had never been good at taking his own advice. They had all been swirling each circle of hell; each time thinking they had finally reached the last one, only to discover that Dante was bad at counting.

There had been too much loss; he’s not willing to risk people anymore. Better it was him than someone else. After wrestling with himself and who he is as a leader and a man, he realizes his humanity isn’t entirely gone, just not what it used to be. He’d still gladly take the place of any of the group, his family, that hadn’t made it.

As he’s walking, he pulls out a machete and slices a walker’s head in half. Blood splatters on his clothes and some on his face, but he soldiers on.

“This city is strange already.” Scully says aloud, not used to being alone on these investigations. Her car drives down the narrow street as she notices the pale grayness that seemed to be looming over this place perpetually. She’d been told yet again that the X-files were over, but after so many cases and experience, she seems to have gained her partner’s passion for them. 

This place has been all over the news, what seemed like terrorist attacks had plagued them. Something about the way the case was described and both the parties responsible seemed like something wasn’t quite right. 

That name just seemed to be everywhere: Batman. The only lead she had was to see a man named Bruce Wayne that allegedly had connections to these crimes. 

With her gun concealed but easily accessible and her FBI badge in hand, she goes forward to meet him.
