I think it was really helped to understand everyones thoughts and feeling towards the show because we can evaluate what to do next time we have a show. The debrief helped to connect more as a company.

CONTROL-The word I have chosen is control because I have been getting feedback in sessions and my energy in dance routine has control but I need more focus to make every movement sharp and to make sure that my movements don't go out of control. I am aiming to keep my dancing skills to a performance level.

Trinity Laban Performance review

At the Miskin theatre we had a surprising visit from Trinity Laban which was third year dancers divided into two groups; I think Trinity Laban was awesome .The start the show was great to watch because they started off the show with no lights which reminded me of how we started our piece with the show called without words. I think the dances performances were very productive and the Laban dancers theme difficult to understand but having the amazing ballet and contemporary.

The first group used no lights and then dim light to make there theme affective. Displays of emotions such as passion and also reactions were given to the audience even doe the Laban dancers weren’t looking for an emotion to give. That was really entertaining to watch because it made me think of what I should do to improve, so that I can be a unbelievable dancer.it was creative to see one group use the colour black in the piece called Something from nothing/ nothing from something .Even doe I don’t understand the theme because the movements had no story and the incredible ballet moves was repeated in the show. For example, they used the boy’s floor section which included lying on the floor with feet contact which was repeated with the girls doing as well. To make a piece of work in 4 weeks in which the show lasted an hour means that I need to push myself to the limit. It must have been backbreaking work for them to put on an amazing show in a short amount of time. Watching the choreography made think that the style of movements and techniques used was unusually because I don’t watch shows like that but even doe I don’t, I found it so creative and interesting to watch every minute of it. The Laban dancers showed me how to have focus and how much concentration you most have when performing such as eye contact and face expression which is important, so the audience can feed off the emotions given. When the dancers were wearing black vest tops and black was dramatic and some of the dancers had controlled and showed that they had self-discipline.

Thirdly the use of lighting had an effect feel to it because you can see the moves very clear and they made all the moved isolated, like every move was captured on camera. The second dancers’ piece was kind of a repeat of the first piece and I thought the second piece would explain the dance better but I was still confused. Looking at the Laban dancers means observing their strengths and reflecting on your own ability which will happen in shows and asking yourself, can I perform to the best of my ability?. Also how affective the diming lights and then have a white bright spotlight. All of the dancers showed a great achievement in performing to the Miskin actors and dancers because even if things could have gone wrong, I could never tell because they were focused and showed a lot of energy.  It gave a clear idea of what moves to make and what facial expression to use when the next show comes in the future for me. Laban dancers are so incredible gifted.

Finally I enjoyed the show. Hopefully I get to see more awesome shows like that and regardless of how the style was different; each Laban dancer helped me learn about dancing with passion. It was quite encouraging to see the dancers show better if I can understand it. It was spectacular to see Trinity Laban dancers showing their passion to the Miskins.

Today we did a bonding session in which we had to look at three different dancer photos in little group of three and in my group, others we wrote down words that relate to features and what it looks like. Out of the list of words we had to choose three that we thought was beneficial or important to the group. The words that we choose are the following words: Stylistic, Artistry and Respect/trust. The word that I have chosen is expressive because I did the routines with style and dynamics. Also I use a lot of power and energy in dance movements. The second word is focus because I do distract myself and talk too much sometimes and a way to resolve this is to surround myself with focused people or a second year.

I felt that the four counts of eight went well and it was fun. I was trying to make the counts with a style of hip hop and a little bit of what I've learnt at miskin dance.  I will try not to duplicate other moves from the miskin dancers. At the start, I thought everyone was just free styling considering I came during the lesson because of learning support. By taking on what Vicky and Lindsey said I will try better next time and make the counts of eight more successful. Eventually in the future I will be able to make something up on spot with energy and focus.

In my own words, the start the show was fascinating to watch because it didn’t start off boring. I think the actor’s performances were very creative and the actors interpreted the theme without words differently but having the same understanding.

All acting groups used props and displays of emotion that was really entertaining to watch.it was creative to see one group use a umbrella prop and turn it in to different things to do with war. For example, they used the umbrella as a army gun, walking stick and a baby.to make a ordinary object and turn in to three uses shows creativity it also must have been backbreaking work for them to put on a amazing show in a short amount of time. Watching HMD and actors shows me how focused and how much concentration you most have when performing such as eye contact and face expression are so important, so the audience can feed off the emotions given. The second piece, when the actors were wearing white and grey was impressive and some of the actors pieces were hard to understand until it came to the ending.

Thirdly. The use of lighting had an effect on the actors pieces because for instance a sad emotion can be strengthen by diming lights and then have a white bright spotlight for hope. All of the actors showed a great achievement in performing to other actors, musicians and dancers because even if things could have gone wrong, I could never tell because they were focused and showed a lot of energy. Using a war theme showed that they did research and gave a clear idea of what moves to make and what facial expression to use.

Finally it was great to watch actors and hnd performing because they kept the stories of war and theme clear to understand and also like the way they used a blue sheet as to surprise the audience by performing under the sheet and popping which showed creativity and really using their imagination in such a short time.

it was important for me to see what to do next time I want to give a amazing show and hopefully I get to see more stuff like that in the future.
