Every now and then, a train will pass through Stardew Valley. You know this, because a little pop up appears in the corner of the screen, telling you so. Most of the time I ignore it, because there isn’t too much to do with a train besides hope it drops some stones or sticks as it passes, but recently I’ve gotten interested in the little pictures that appear on the side of the cars.

Hello train.

There seems to be a lot of them, and I wonder what they’re based on. Are they references of some kind? Hat tips to animators or people that worked on the game? Are they just random?

I’d love to find out more about them. Plus, I don’t know if this is all of them, just as many as I’ve seen from the few trains I’ve caught since becoming interested in these pictures.

In other news, that’s really not a good idea. Filling up a car with straw of some kind and then leaving the door open. Why is there a door there? Is that just a false top, to confuse spy planes flying over head? If so, what is really in there?

These trains hold many mysteries.

My first trip to the desert. I didn’t get any screenshots of the skull cavern, because I was a little busy being chased by flying lizards, but I was able to use the skull key to get in.

Alex’s side of the house. He also redid the flooring in the rest of the house, which I was a little upset by.

10 heart scene with Alex. It was cool to see his character development as you got closer to him. He turned out to be a pretty compassionate person!

I just barely caught the last shot with Dusty climbing in the window, and thought it was kind of funny.

Only one more room to go! I just need that pesky rabbit’s foot and the duck’s feather, and I’ll be done. It’s just a matter of RNG, now. 

I just realized that I didn’t get a screenshot of the Jumino’s message, but it said something like, “Once our work is done, we will leave this place.” Does anybody else have a screenshot of that? I’m planning on making a post with all six “messages”, but it’ll be a little bit odd if I skip out on part of it. Thanks for your help!
