16 26 & 36?
16. What’s an AU you would love to read (or have read and loved)?
say it like you mean it with your fists for once by runnerwing! A Pacific Rim!Challengers au that I was supposed to include on my rec list that I forgot when formatting everything (I am ashamed, the fic is excellent)
26. Would you rather write a fic that had no dialogue or one that was only dialogue?
Only dialogue. Easy. I love figuring out how characters talk. I build a lot of scenes around a conversation I want to take place, it's partially why I'm so obsessed with phone calls.
36. Do you visualize what you read/write?
I mean, I don't have aphantasia?? so I've got something going on up there.

fic ask game!!
3. What are some tropes or details that you think are very characteristic of your fics?
I really like a non-linear narrative. That structure is one I’m really comfortable with — moving backwards and forwards to show moments I want to explore more than a traditional plot. Also dreams and fantasies, exploring what characters think they want VS what it is they actually want. But also idk if I’m a good judge here! I’m probably too close up to know for sure :)

knives out 4 should be set in a papal conclave and every time they elect a new pope he keeps getting murdered. black smoke white smoke black smoke white smoke the crowd goes huh?? they have to make benoit blanc a cardinal to get him inside the room and he insists on bringing his husband, because they were on vacation in rome when this all started and phillip wanted to see the sistine chapel but it got closed for conclave. to use himself as bait benoit has to get elected pope. except then he catches the murderer before he can get murdered and now he's stuck as pope. gay married pope, oops! is this anything

4 for wishbone, 17, and 23!
hiiiiiiiiiii <3
4. What detail in Wishbone are you really proud of?
Hmmm. I like this sentence a lot:
His father used to tell him that getting angry is another form of caring too much, and that’s why none of the stupid shit Patrick did could ever piss him off.
It's not very fancy and maybe a little clunky even, but I wrote it and went ouch!! which is how I tend to judge if I've hit on something good.
17. What highly specific AU do you want to read or write even though you might be the only person to appreciate it?
Lately I've really been giggling over a like, Spy/Espionage/Assassin type Challengers AU? Art and Tashi being a 'Black Bag' type couple -- highly trained, organized, respected spies -- and Patrick as a messy hitman for hire/private eye. In my head Art fumbles some important hit and so Tashi has them doing a low level surveillance job that's way below their pay-grade and in walks Patrick. There's guns and cameras with long lenses and voyeurism. High drama and plot heavy.
23. What’s a trope, AU, or concept you’ve never written, but would like to?
Related to the above - I'd love to write a plot heavy story one day. I'm not sure I have the brain for it, but one aspires. That, or a 'You Got Mail' AU, bc the mistaken identity/miscommunication of it all is very charming to me.
