i feel like in god au odysseus would probably still be one of the only people to call Diomedes by his name rather than Tydides, and it would just KILL diomedes inside

Oh absolutely☺️ I hc that at first Odysseus will call him things like ‘my warrior’ ‘my brave soldier’ but then started to call him ‘My Diomedes’. When asked, he just said “ Well, you seems to be rather quiet joyful when I call your name ”

And it would pained Diomedes even more because Odysseus won’t understand it. He won’t understand why this small act meant so much to Diomedes. After all Odysseus’s just a ghost of a man he once adored.
