I humbly present a meta series on the Zhang Zhehan (張哲瀚) Incident, based on what has transpired up to 2021/08/22. I hope it provides the answers to the Asks I’ve got.  

I must apologise for the length of the series, and the time I took to finish them. Given the gravity and complexity of its historical background, I thought the incident deserves a more detailed write-up (I learned a lot as well). For those from Zhang’s related fandoms who wish to read the backgrounds without reminders of the incident: Parts 1 to 3 are written with you in mind.

Hi guys!

Just giving you all a quick update.

I have been working insane hours and my work-life balance has more or less evaporated entirely. What free time I have is extremely limited, so I haven’t really been able to hop on Tumblr or check messages or anything along those lines.

I miss everyone (especially @rainbowsky!) and hope I’ll have a little downtime next week or two. I know I have a ton to catch up on and am super behind.

Anyway, sending everyone my love. Hope to be back soon-ish. ❤️

You can find the full translation here In the meantime, I think his writing style and the way he expresses himself, I’m just really amazed. I want to tell him that yes, he did his best and that we are here for him to see it through.

I just had a long day at work today, and these lines from his post really resonated with me.

choose not to be negative or complain, and to go all out for every decision and choice; it is enough to find your own pleasure in every work.

At least I did my best, right? It used to be, it is now, and I think so in the future!
