Empty | Rebuy or Babye? (October 2017– May2018) A long span of time but seeing how sumptuous the amount, I guess that’s an excuse. Kiehl’s Dark Spot Corrective Solution — this one is my most expensive drugstore purchase ever (before the Shiseido ones) and for the fact that it didn’t work was a slap on my face. It did work for a couple of times but its not something that is consistent. Yes, I emptied it because I am guilty for my money that I spent on it. I also hate the fact that it spills everywhere! Babye! Nivea Soft Cream — this product is good! For the fact that its drugstore, love it! Seen on the photo is the baby version, I repurchased the biggest size now. I love it, not super thick but hydrating enough for my oily-combo skin. Rebuy! Bench Aloe Vera Gel — this is also good! I can’t believe I emptied it for only 5 months, that’s a goal for me and for the amount of it! I highly recommend this product for all skin types and sometimes I use this as a sleeping mask if my skin feels dry. The next day, my skin is like glass. Rebuy, most definitely!

DUTY FREE 1 DAY SALE HAUL! Here is my skincare haul from Duty Free, I can’t wait to go home just to take photos of these beauties. The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Mask — I’ve gotten many samples of this treasure and I honestly love this so much. I’m so glad I got it so cheap! What it does: purifies and detoxifies the skin, also draws out impurities and refines pores. This is perfect for blemished skin or skin with hyper pigmentations. Do I recommend this for detoxifying (in terms of dirt & pollution), well yes! But TBS has a separate mask just for that: Japanese Matcha Tea Mask. The Body Shop Chinese Ginseng & Rice Mask — This one is a new one, never tried. What this does is it brightens the skin. I personally think this is a good combination with the himalayan charcoal mask. While the aforementioned mask detoxifies the skin, this one brightens uneven skin, illuminates and revitalises it! This is perfect for dull, tired skin and also for blemished skin. Shiseido Waso Quick Gentle Cleanser — Good for removing makeup and impurities of the day. I’m so looking forward to using this! Shiseido Waso Fresh Jelly Lotion — Day & Night moisturiser! I am in love with this thing! I first tried it at the back of my hand and I’m in love. Can’t wait to try this! Shiseido Waso Clear Mega-Hydrating Cream — This! This looks scary thick but not! It absorbs onto my skin real quick. I live for this cream and I couldn’t wait to try this!

My Scent Collection! I’m definitely not a scent-a-holic but I sure do like bold statements—and one of them is wearing a remarkable and unique scent. Here are my favourites: 1. D&G The One A sophisticated vanilla scent that’s perfect for all year round. I wear this daily and it really last the whole freaking day. I swear I can even smell it on my laundry. A perfect splurge! 2. Acca Kappa Muschio Bianco (cologne) A unisex scent thats smells so fresh as if you just got it from the shower. I also wear this on a daily basis but being it a cologne, it does not last that long. 3. D&G Light Blue Another unisex scent thats very “cooling”. Couple goals alert on this one! 4. Gucci Flora Literally the name itself. Flora—floral—spring. It smells like spring. Very sophisticated too. 5. One Direction That Moment If you’ve smelled their first one, this is a “mature” version of that one.

Detail Makeover Autumn Palette, retails for ₱699 1st photo: outside packaging and the palette itself 2nd photo: inside of the palette, it has plastic film with autumn leaves and the names beneath 3rd photo: 1st row (aster—sawyer) 4th photo: 2nd row (flint—octavia) 5th photo: 3rd row (harkin—opal) 6th photo: all the shimmers of the palette Packaging The packaging itself is good, not the best type for its price. Similar packaging with Colourpop and Kylie Cosmetics. I like the fact that it includes a mirror inside, for that big of a palette, it really requires a big mirror. The overall outlook of the packaging is nice and nice, I guess in that part its more opinionated—depends on the person whose using it. Size I have nothing else to say about the size. The size of the palette is fine, its actually big. Like ₱5 coin big. Colour Okay, I have to admit that there are colours that I am certain that I may never wear and colours that I would always reach for when using this palette. Like Saga and Sawyer, a little bit bold but we can never really tell the future. The overall colour mood of the palette is truly autumn-fall type, warm colours perfect for the said season. Personally for me, I would reach out for this palette in any type of “season”, not necessarily only during the autumn-fall seasons. Pigmentation/Opacity/Texture/Consistency In the first shades (Aster & Amber), the texture of the shadow is a bit dry for my liking unlike when I finger-swatched the following shades. As I expected, some shades aren’t that pigmented. This palette is a matte-shimmer palette. They did a real good job with the shimmers, no bad comments or anything. Really creamy and spot-on. For the mattes, some shades are not that pigmented and still have to build. Conclusion Its not the best palette but for the price of ₱699? I think its not the best buy, I mean you can purchase a Colourpop palette for only ₱1.2k, just add ₱500 and you can get a consistent palette with good pigmentation and colours. BUT, stay tuned if you’re really interested in purchasing this, during the holidays they have a B1T1. You can get the Autumn Palette and their other one the Ecru Squad Palette.

Let’s talk about lip balms! Here are my top picks. 1. Kiehl’s Lip Balm #1 — not sticky — could be use as a lip gloss because its so shiny and not sticky — the packaging is cute but it does not a lip applicator, so its not the most hygienic 2. Nivea Med — still my favourite drugstore lip balm — i use this all the time during -ber months — not sticky and smells good 3. Human Nature Sunflower Lip Miracle — best for priming lips before lipstick — it dries down fast but still moisturising — cute packaging because it has a lip applicator 4. Chapstick — its a good lip balm — 3rd favourite drugstore lip balm — they always come with spf which is good for your lips

My go-to facial mists for the first 5 months of 2018. They do different purpose for my skin and before makeup. When it comes to skincare, I would go for The Body Shop Vitamin C Energising Face Mist. What it does, it like “pump” the skin and “activate” it for the skincare that’s about to come. On the other hand, I use MAC Mineralize Charged Water Skin Hydrating Mist to prep my skin before makeup for that healthy glow effect— not looking too greasy on my oily skin. For the scent, I would go for MAC’s but then they function differently for me.

My current go-to April-May facial cleansers/exfoliators are these three. The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash is actually a monthly go-to, because I never really found a product that is worthy enough to change it. It’s one of the reasons why I actually have blemish-free skin as of today. Ziaja’s Phyto Aktiv Cleansing Milk was a recent discovery and current favourite already. Its a good makeup remover and I use it throughout the day, especially when I go through a long day (experiencing pollution and all). Lastly, The Body Shop Drops of Youth Liquid Peel is my favourite exfoliant. I have scrub exfoliators but this is different. You will literally see your old/dirty skin peeling of your face and after exfoliating, it will leave your skin soft and smoother. Its a bonus that it decreases your ageing process.

A quick review on my favourite makeup remover/micellar water. I bought Bioderma a year ago to see what’s the hype about, by that time I was using Garnier’s. I had no issues with Garnier’s until I saw a big difference when I used Bioderma’s. I don’t find my eyes stinging, unlike the old product that I use, I experience tiny eye sting. It does it job quite well and when one my favourite makeup artist Katie Jane Hughes mentioned this in Byrdie Beauty videos, I knew I have to keep this as my ride-or-die skincare. KJ Hughes uses Bioderma as “toner” as skin prep or makeup prep, to completely remove dirt or other gunk on the face.

My once-a-week mask and my night time mask are both from The Body Shop in their Tea Tree range. I noticed that some skin enthusiasts sleeps on this brand and I think their not seeing the beauty of this brand! Cruelty-free and vegan. They are forever against animal testing. In 2017, I’ve been experiencing worst cases of acne and this brand saved my skin. I was looking everywhere for the perfect solution when it was under my nose the whole time. Tea Tree Skin Clearing Clay Mask is applied 1-2 times a week, depending on how frequent your breakouts occur. I leave it on about 10-15 minutes (which is the only time you should) and wash it off after. During the duration of wearing this product, it feels cool and minty (like a mint candy). Tea Tree Anti-Imperfection Night Mask is applied everyday at nighttime, specifically as the last part of your skin routine. It’s basically a sleeping mask, at first it feels sticky and you might want to avoid resting your face onto your pillow right away because it may stick on your face. It’s not super sticky but to prevent bacteria and all. I sometimes face an electric fan to dry the product easier and it does the job. *not sponsored

It is my first time trying one of the classics skincare product (and also expensive ones) and that is La Mer! Quick side note: this my mom’s 😂. We live in a tropical country, so I think buying the Crème De La Mer in the original form is in the wrong step. (They prefer if we purchased the soft version, but oh well 🤷🏻‍♀️). Moving on, the product is a bit thick almost like Nivea Crème thick. The first thing that I did was play it on the pads of my fingertips before smoothing it on my face, by doing that I am able to lessen the thickness of the cream and it will absorb faster onto the skin. Nonetheless, I noticed the dry patches that I have is not-so obvious anymore. Is this PC approve? Yes, it is! *not sponsored
