I want to see myself with the clarity of a thousand stars. I want to scream from the depths of my soul, let out the fire onto pages and pages, but they remain empty. The bitter truth is that nothing has changed, and that is what I fear the most. I am no longer building a human being, no longer becoming a presence in this vast universe.

Start the conversation about personal self worth. I want to be worth something to me, not as an afterthought, not as a wild moment in a long night of many long nights. Broken only by bouts of momentary guilt and poorly made cups of dark roast.

I want to hope that youth will last forever if I truly live, and be, and exist as I want. Devoid of worry and anxiety and the uncomfortable positions of the hands on subway rides.

Step by step I take it all without any desire to form a direction, a belief, a self worth loving. The passions for what I love is dulled by the things I do to forget them, to wash the slate for a moment before the sun awakes my groggy senses.

A constant cycle of gluttony, emotionally gutting myself to the point of disillusionment. Pretentious sentences then flow from my finger tips filled with hollow words.

The morning comes and we drift on within this restless daze repeating what we said last week. Lets change the mold, but tomorrow.

I wont ever change the world, but how do you begin to change yourself.

So for the past 12 days in honor of valentines day I’ve been making daily comics based off true stories about making my ex cry during my toxic first relationship (”times my ex made me cry” would be…a much darker comic.) Plz enjoy, it was very cathartic for me to make!

Thought to have been lost for decades, the two-minute feature Virginian Types: Blue Ridge Mountaineers documents the life of an isolated and long-vanished mountain community—Old Rag, Virginia—using a similarly long-vanished color process called “Pathécolor“—a stencil-based method that added artificial colors to black-and-white prints, something like the colorization of recent years.

The footage seems to have been shot just after Congress in May of 1926 authorized the creation of the Shenandoah National Park. Congress had stipulated that Virginia could turn over to the federal government only lands that were free of permanent inhabitants. Most residents of the Old Rag settlement were longtime squatters with no legal record of their holdings. As a consequence, an administration was installed to “relocate” the startled mountain folk, who reacted to the uprooting in anguished grief.

Virginian Types appears to have been the one of the “last chances” to document Old Rag and its surrounding communities, as on November 1st, 1935 all remaining residents were given 10 days’ notice. By the middle of the month the last holdouts were led away in handcuffs. 

The cabin structures seen in the footage—some having been built in the early 1800s—would be burned or demolished, ostensibly to restore wilderness but also to discourage reoccupation. All that appears to remain of the lost community is this unique film, echoing a place where “Life is ardent, pleasures simple…”

Well friends, it’s a preliminary election that decides the presidential candidates for each political party. If Bernie loses the primaries, he will NOT be able to become our next president. 3. Okay, so how do I register to vote/as a Democrat?

Worried because your state has closed primaries or you’ve never used your constitutional rights to vote before and you think registering will be a terrible, vigorous, process?

DON’T WORRY FRIENDS.

Registering to vote is so easy, let me walk you through it.

Here is an online form you can mail in (available in multiple languages) that also gives you step by step instructions depending on your state. If you live in New Hampshire, North Dakota, Wyoming, American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands, unfortunately you can NOT use this method.

For any state, you can check the following places to register in person:

State or local voter registration and/or election offices

The department of motor vehicles

Public assistance agencies

Armed services recruitment centers

State-funded programs that serve people with disabilities

Any public facility that a state has designated as a voter registration agency

Here is another link of states where you can register online, if you’re an anxious nugget like me.

EACH STATE HAS A SPECIFIC DEADLINE TO REGISTER IN TIME FOR PRIMARIES. IF YOU NEED TO REGISTER, MAKE SURE YOU FIND OUT WHEN THAT IS AND REGISTER BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE.

If you do end up having to register in person, do not be afraid friends! You are doing a very important and brave thing.

4. Alright, so I know when I have to vote, I am registered to vote, and if my state has closed primaries, I registered as a Democrat! I’m done now, right?

Nope, there’s one last thing! If you’re like me and unable to get to a voting poll, whether or not it’s due to school, work, your health, or being out of your state/country, you need to fill out an ABSENTEE BALLOT FORM!

This link contains not only the absentee ballot forms of every state, but some even have more voter registration forms as well!

DON’T FORGET. DEADLINES EXIST.

Write it in your planner, your calendar. Post it on your ceiling. Write it in ketchup on your burger. Tattoo it to your arm. Whatever helps!
