the volturi
(the series)
Tumblr media
In the world of vampires, one stands tall, Aro Volturi, the leader of all, A man of power, and a man of might, Whose rule is absolute, in the darkest of night.
With mind-reading and telepathy, he sees, All that happens, and all that shall be, A master of strategy, and of deceit, Whose power is feared by all, both small and elite.
But beneath the surface, there lies a man, Whose heart is broken, and whose soul is banned, For despite his power, he is alone, With none to share, his rule and throne.
Yet he clings to his power, and to his fate, For he knows that love, shall not change his state, And so he rules, with an iron hand, A man of power, in a faraway land.
So let us learn from Aro's tale, That power and love, are seldom for sale, That leadership comes not just from might, But from kindness, from being right.
Tumblr media
In the world of the Volturi, there's a king, Whose rule is absolute, and whose power brings, A reign of terror, that none can break, For Caius Volturi, there's no mistake.
With a heart so cold, and a mind so sharp, He rules with an iron fist, day and night in arc, His laws are strict, and his punishments severe, For those who break them, there's no chance to revere.
But beneath the surface, there's a man so lonely, Whose heart is empty, for he's lost his only, Love of his life, his wife so dear, Whose memory still echoes, and still brings him near.
So he rules, with a passion so bitter, For he knows that love, can be a litter, A weakness to exploit, and a pain to bear, In a world of vampires, and a life so rare.
So let us learn from Caius's fate, That power and love, are often at stake, That leadership comes not just from might, But from compassion, from being right.
Tumblr media
In the shadows of the Volturi, there's a man so old, Marcus Volturi, with a heart so cold, A figure of obscurity, whose rule is unknown, As he wavers in life, and in his own throne.
With the power of emotion, he sees and feels, All that's hidden, and all that's so real, But trapped by grief, he cannot move on, For the loss of his mate, his heart has withdrawn.
So he stands, in the halls of the Volturi, A man so brooding, and so full of mystery, A figure of power, but also of sorrow, Whose life has become a never-ending tomorrow.
So let us learn from Marcus's plight, That power and grief, can often reignite, That leadership comes not just from force, But from empathy, and from a compassionate source.
Tumblr media
The Volturi Guard, so loyal and true, Servants of the Volturi, through and through, Their power undeniable, their loyalty strong, They serve their masters, without any wrong.
With their strength and speed, they are feared, And all who cross them, soon find they have erred, For there is no escape, from the Volturi's grasp, Their power can crush, and their wrath can blast.
But behind their power, there's a stark reality, Of a life of servitude, without any liberty, For the Volturi Guard, are slaves to their code, With no chance for love, or a life that's bestowed.
Yet they serve, with honor and pride, For they believe in their leaders, and the rules they abide, And though their life may be grim and hard, They find purpose and meaning, in the Volturi Guard.
So let us learn from the Volturi Guard's fate, That power and loyalty, often come with weight, That serving one's masters, can have a heavy toll, And that freedom, is often the most precious goal.
Tumblr media
Twins of the Volturi, a duo so rare, Jane and Alec, with powers to ensnare, For Jane, her pain brings the world to its knees, And Alec's illusions, none can really appease.
With a look so cold, and a stare so cruel, Jane can inflict pain, as a vampire's tool, And Alec, with his power of illusions, Can trap his foes, in the darkest delusions.
Together they stand, as one in the Volturi Guard, Their power unquestionable, their duty unmarred, Bound to serve, their masters without remorse, In a life of loyalty, and in a dark force.
But beneath their exterior, so cold and so calm, Lies a bond so strong, like a soothing balm, For as twins, they share a connection unique, A bond of love, that is truly mystique.
So let us learn from Jane and Alec's fate, That even in darkness, love can still radiate, That loyalty and duty, can be a burden so dire, But family and love, can quell any fire.
Tumblr media
Felix Volturi, a man of brawn, With a strength unmatched, and a temper not drawn, A member of the Guard, with a task so clear, To catch the prey and eliminate the fear.
With his power of physicality, He can take down foes with ease and vitality, A force to be reckoned, and a man of brutal might, Whose strength can never be questioned or slight.
But amidst his brutality, there's a streak of loyalty, To the Volturi, and to their code of royalty, For he believes in their power, and their right, To rule over the vampire world, without any fight.
So let us learn from Felix's tale, That strength and loyalty, can prevail, That being true to one's duty, is an honor in all cloy, And that power, without loyalty, is just another ploy.
Tumblr media
Demetri Volturi, a tracker so keen, With a power of detection, that's hardly seen, A force of the Guard, with a skill so rare, His power can find prey, from anywhere.
With his senses so sharp, he tracks with ease, And his loyalty to the Volturi, shall never cease, He serves his masters, with all his might, And protects their rule, day and night.
But behind his exterior of loyalty, Lies a man of mystery, and of deep royalty, For he knows the secrets, and the hidden truths, Of the Volturi, and of their indulgent verities.
So let us learn from Demetri's fate, That being true to one's loyalty, can mean a great, That power comes not just from strength and might, But from being true to one's inner light.

the volturi pt. 1
(introducing the volturi)
Tumblr media
In the shadows they dwell, the Volturi elite, Their powers unmatched, their cruelty discrete, Leaders of the vampire world, three in command, Aro, Caius, and Marcus, ruling with iron hand.
With mind-reading and telepathy, they see all, No secrets to hide, no place for those who crawl, Their laws are strict, breaking them means death, A punishment swift, no chance for a last breath.
But their authority is rooted in a fragile ground, Their power can't last, their legacy inbound, Their reign of terror, cannot stand for too long, For true power lies not in fear, but in being strong.
So let us heed the warning of the Volturi rule, Of the dangers of dictatorship, and living like a fool, For justice and true power, come not from fear, But from love, from respect, from values that are near.

to kill a mockingbird
Tumblr media
In To Kill a Mockingbird, we find a tale, Of prejudice and injustice, of a society stale, A story of Atticus Finch and his kids, As they navigate a world, that's full of skids.
For Scout and Jem, they see, That the world's not what it seems to be, That justice can be twisted, and the truth so blind, And that being just can be, an uphill grind.
Through Tom Robinson's fate, they see, The cruelty of life, and the pervasiveness of inequality, And through Atticus's defense, they know, That standing up for what's right, is never easy on the go.
So let us learn from Atticus's stance, That justice and conscience, have their own dance, That being true to oneself, is the only way, To live life with honor, and grace everyday.

the age of innocence
Tumblr media
In The Age of Innocence, we find, A world of tradition, and a love that's blind, A society so bound, by its own customs and ways, That love and passion are often lost, in the mundane of the days.
For there's Newland Archer, a man so tied, To the world of high society, and to the life that's prescribed, And there's Ellen Olenska, a woman so free, With a heart that yearns, to be who she is meant to be.
Through their love, they see, That life is not just what society deems it to be, That passions run deep, and love can be wild, And that sometimes, it's best to be true, to one's inner child.
But in the end, they realize so late, That tradition and society, have a certain weight, That cannot be denied, or ignored, And that love is sometimes, just a commodity or a reward.
So, let us learn from the tale of the age of innocence, That life is not just about following the traditions of the past tense, But about finding a way, to balance love and society's sway, In a world, that's often more grey than the love's hue of purest ray.

the scarlet letter
Tumblr media
In The Scarlet Letter, we find, A tale of love, and how two hearts entwine, A world of secrets, and a life so shamed, That one cannot look, without being blamed.
For there's Hester Prynne, a woman so true, With a heart that's pure, and a soul so blue, And there's Arthur Dimmesdale, a man so dear, With a heart that's kind, and a mind that's clear.
Through trials and tribulations, they see, That life is not just what it seems to be, That love can bring pain, as much as it can heal, And that secrets can break, what was once so real.
But in the end, they see the truth, That love can conquer, even the harshest ruth, That forgiveness can heal, what has been so wrong, And that life can still bloom, even when it's lone.
So let us learn from Hester and Arthur's fate, That life is not just what we create, But about finding love, and finding grace, In a world that's often full of hate.

strange case of dr. jekyll and hyde
Tumblr media
In Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, we find, A tale of duality, and a mind so combined, A world where good and evil do mix, And one cannot exist, without the other, to fix.
For there's Dr. Jekyll, a man so kind, With a heart that's pure, and a soul that's aligned, With goodness, and with all that's right, And yet, there's a darkness that's been kept from sight.
And then, there's Mr. Hyde, a man so vile, With a heart that's black, and a soul so guile, A man who preys, on all that's good, And leaves behind, a world that's cruelly crude.
Through transformations, Dr. Jekyll sees, That his alter ego, can do just as he please, And so he unleashes the darkness within, Thinking that he's found, his life's new win.
But in the end, he realizes too late, That good and evil, can never be in such a state, That one can exist, without the other, And that life can never be without bother.
So let us learn from Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, That life is not just about choosing sides, But about finding balance, in all that we do, And that the darkness can bring light, through and through.

the taming of the shrew
Tumblr media
In The Taming of the Shrew, we find, A world so harsh, and a love so blind, A way of life, where men rule supreme, And women are just pieces, in a game unseen.
For there's Kate, a woman so strong-willed, That men would die, to have her stilled, A woman so fierce, with a tongue so sharp, That men would flee, before her barb.
But then there's Petruchio, a man so bold, That he'd take on any woman, no matter how cold, A man so cunning, and so quick of mind, That he'd outwit the shrew, and leave her confined.
Through lessons and tricks, he'd break her will, And show her that life is never so still, That love can come, even to those, Who'd deny it with words, and all those foes.
So let us learn from their tale so old, That love can come, even to those who hold, Their heart so tight, and their soul so strong, That they'd rather be right, than admit they're wrong.

moby dick
Tumblr media
In Moby Dick, we find a tale, Of obsession and a fateful fail, A captain hell-bent on a quest, To find and slay the white whale's crest.
For he was Ahab, with a leg of wood, And a heart that bled, as only it could, Bleed for a life that had been torn, By a beast that he'd forever sworn,
To hunt and kill, till his dying day, To avenge the loss, and the debt to pay, To a world that saw him as no more, Than just a captain, lost in the roar,
Of the mighty sea, and the wind that whips, Through the sails, and the sailor's lips, A world that's so much bigger than one, Man alone, under the blazing sun.
So let us learn from Ahab's fate, That obsession can turn to hate, That love for life can turn to death, And that nothing's worth our life's last breath.

the great gatsby
Tumblr media
In The Great Gatsby, we are shown, A world of glitz, and a love unknown, A world of excess, and unbridled desire, A world that's built on ambition, and fuelled by fire.
For there's a man, with a dream so big, That he'll stop at nothing to get his fig, A man with wealth, and a past so hazy, A man with a love that's forever crazy.
And at the heart of it all, we find, Daisy, the one that the Gatsby pined, For all his life, through all the years, Through all the heartache and the tears.
But love is not so simple, and it's not so pure, For there are others who seek to lure, Daisy away, from the man she loves, From the man who watches from above.
So they dance, and they drink, and they laugh, In a world that's built on the lovecraft, Of the great Gatsby, and his one true love, Eclipsed by a society that's just not enough.

the phantom of the opera

For there's a creature, lurking deep, In shadows that make one want to weep, A man with a voice so sweet and strong, That he captured her heart before so long.
But she was promised to another man, And the Phantom, he could not understand, Why love could not break through the lies, And why his own heart had to pay the price.
So he sang his songs of sorrow and rage, And tried to elicit love's sweet cage, But in the end, he could not escape, The fate that love had left in its wake.
So let us learn from the Phantom's tale, That love is something that cannot fail, But sometimes, it's just not meant to be, And one must let go, and set it free.

pride and prejudice
Tumblr media
In Pride and Prejudice we meet, A world of manners, and a society elite, Where love and class are at odds, And a match is never quite as easy as nods.
But in the midst of it all, we find, Two souls that are intertwined, Elizabeth and Darcy, with pride so high, That they almost miss the love by.
For he was arrogant, and she was bold, And both of them thought they were sold, On the idea that love was just for the heart, And not something that could ever start,
In a world of propriety and respect, Where feelings were never really direct, And everything was left to inference, Leaving little room for coincidence.
But then, slowly, they saw past the facade, And through their missteps, they saw how hard, It was to truly love without pride, And let their passions come to the side.
So in the end, they see how love can thrive, And they both let down their inner pride, To find a bond that's strong and true, And lasts forever, through and through.
