Task Force X in Peacemaker Season 1 (1/6): Adrian Chase | Vigilante

One of my little headcanons for Adrian is that his favourite colour is teal and that he paints his own suit because it looks better that way. His visor is the same prescription strength as his glasses, which means he has to get it specially ordered from somewhere and it does sort of look like the shoulder pads and breast plate are painted (which it probably was) so in my mind, I can just imagine Adrian dedicating some time to painting his suit in his favourite colour and taking the time to repaint his suit if it chips away or gets stained.

Okay, so I haven't watched Black Adam but I've seen the clips and breakdown videos on YouTube and now I'm more confused about the Peacemaker ending.

First of all, Amanda Waller has somehow not been affected by the press release that Adebayo did whatsoever (aka the same broadcast where Adebayo exposes her mother for doing some super illegal and unethical things) which you would think has consequences. In the Black Adam film, it seems like she actually has MORE power and authority (she's literally got Superman on speedial?) and HARCOURT is working with her again.

I've seen some rumours and theories about Harcourt playing double-agent to eventually take down Amanda Waller which sort of (?) makes sense but we have no confirmation of this as of yet (maybe in Peacemaker S2 if that's still a thing?). Another theory is that Amanda Waller managed to twist the words of Adebayo and make herself look like the good guy somehow.

We know from her other film features that she's not below doing shady things to protect herself and the people she works for from their consequences, she likely has dirt on a lot of powerful people and not to mention she's also considered an asset to the government because she's really good at her job.

I think my biggest issue is that somehow the justice league and other superheros introduced in Black Adam are more than willing to work with her even after she was exposed for the Task-Force X missions and doing dodgy shit. Maybe this will be cleared up in Gunn's reboot for the DC cinematic universe or maybe they'll clarify if Black Adam is set before Peacemaker?

I wasn't the biggest fan of DC before the Peacemaker series so it upsets me a little to find out that Adebayo's efforts to (maybe) stop the Taskforce X missions were for nothing.

Amanda Waller is revealed to have an extra secure black-site prison for seriously powerful prisoners, which now includes Black Adam, and I'm sure she will use this to her advantage in due time. I'm not sure if she's still running the Taskforce X missions out of Belle Reve but I wouldn't put it past her to continue doing it under the radar.

I know that in the final episode of Peacemaker S1 we see Economos return to Belle Reve to work again whilst Harcourt is recovering and the other's go back to their former life but if Amanda Waller is still in charge of Belle Reve, like it can be assumed from her scenes in Black Adam, what does this mean for Peacemaker?

I've got my own theories for what S2 might be about after doing some reading about his comic origins and interactions, but hopefully we get to see the 11th Street Crew group get back together for S2 and they explain what's going on with the Amanda Waller situation!

shower. not a bath, a shower. use water as hot or cold as u like. u dont even need to wash. just get in under the water and let it run over you for a while. sit on the floor if you gotta.

moisturize everything. use whatever lotion u like. unscented? dollar store lotion? fancy ass 48 hour lotion that makes u smell like a field of wildflowers? use whatever you want, and use it all over. 

put on clean, comfortable clothes. 

put on ur favorite underwear. cute black lacy panties? those ridiculous boxers u bought last christmas with candy cane hearts on the butt? put em on.

drink cold water. use ice. if u want, add some mint or lemon for an extra boost.

clean something. doesn’t have to be anything big. organize one drawer of ur desk. wash five dirty dishes. do a load of laundry. scrub the bathroom sink. 

blast music. listen to something upbeat and dancey and loud, something that’s got lots of energy. sing to it, dance to it, even if you suck at both.

make food. don’t just grab a granola bar to munch. take the time and make food. even if it’s ramen. add something special to it, like a hard boiled egg or some veggies. prepare food, it tastes way better, and you’ll feel like you accomplished something. 

make something. write a short story or a poem, draw a picture, color a picture, fold origami, crochet or knit, sculpt something out of clay, anything artistic. even if you don’t think you’re good at it.

go outside. take a walk. sit in the grass. look at the clouds. smell flowers. put your hands in the dirt and feel the soil against your skin.

call someone. call a loved one, a friend, a family member, call a chat service if you have no one else to call. talk to a stranger on the street. have a conversation and listen to someone’s voice. if you can’t, text or email or whatever, just have some social interaction with another person. even if you don’t say much, listen to them.

cuddle your pets if you have them/can cuddle them. take pictures of them. talk to them. tell them how u feel, about your favorite movie, a new game coming out.

My theory as to why Steven's coworkers kept forgetting his name (other than the fact they didn't care to remember) is probably because when Marc or Jake would front and they'd be like "who tf is steven?? oh wait it's me-" and accidentally call themselves Steve or whatever variant of Steven exists because that's not their name
