2022 Photography Commission Highlights
2022. Maybe the most complex and challenging year of my career. I am very grateful to those who commissioned me. Here are some highlights. #Photography #Photographer #Liverpool
2022 was a complex year. Work was scarce. The grants from the government went away but unfortunately COVID-19 did not. In order to protect the last few months of a terminally ill relative I had to turn down work. It meant a lot to me that my clients understood and also commissioned me later in the year when I no longer needed to shield. Every job I could do was a joy to work. Time away from the…

I met Norma at the Remembrance Day service in New Brighton, 2010. She was there to pay her respects to members of her family who died during WWI and WWII.

Her brother, William Hoyland, died in 1940 and was a member of the RAF. Her husband's uncle, John Taker, died in France and James Taker died in Gallipoli in 1917.

She remembered the bombings in Wallasey during WWII. A bomb exploded quite near her house and she was evacuated to live with her aunt in Bambry. #RemembranceSunday https://www.instagram.com/p/Ck5kd3Dsy0E/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Turn The Light On, It’s Dark In Here by artist Camille Walala
Photos of Camille Walala's 'River of Light' installation in Liverpool.
As part of 2022’s ‘River of Light’ festival that took place in Liverpool, artist Camille Walala created a stunning installation at the Royal Albert Dock outside the Martin Luther King Building. I personally hoped for a rainy day to capture the reflections in the streets to add to the cityscape-esque scene. Outlined in vibrant primary colours, curves and rounded contours collide with rigid right…
