@patemdowneq Pat Hundley bringing another massive sounding one with Sleep Eater And it is sounding killer ! It’s easy to want to push the level & loudness . However there are ways of sounding excitingly loud without the pain and suffering that many (let’s say ) Plug Ins force you to deal with along with that excitement . They (various maximizers and buss comps) tend to lose the ability for the listener to see into the mix , feel depth . Too often they make the mix very flattened . Many perceive this as “awesome” at first listen , but it lacks life. You also don’t know what you’re missing until you hear it a different way . Idk marinate on that . In any event , Pat is mixing his ass off and put this album together with these guys , and their hard work is paying off ... that much is clear ! But these original and vintage songs , are all 10s . This dream she had to make is now real . To get there it’s been very hard , I know that much and I just want everyone to know ... it doesn’t matter what you think you need to do to be happy or fulfilled , it is in your heart . Sometimes people have faith in the process , maybe they’re not as insane about gear or other things , but they know when they hear something that’s done right . They know even if it’s coming off an iPhone speaker or some average earbuds , that it matters . Because , it does . If it doesn’t to you, well, it doesn’t to you. That’s fine , but it’s not an absolute truth . I’m interested in absolute truths , and quests where the bottom line isn’t as debatable.
