Atmosphere- God Loves Ugly (11/06/2002)

God Loves Ugly es el segundo álbum de estudio del grupo de Hip Hop Atmosphere formado principalmente por el MC Sean Daley aka Slug y el productor Anthony Davis aka Ant. Fue lanzado el 11 de junio de 2002 bajo el sello Rhymesayers Entertainment cofundado en 1995 por Slug, Ant, Musab Saad (Sab the Artist) y Brent Sayers (Siddiq). A través de la distribución de Fat Beats, el álbum logró vender más de 130.000 copias en los Estados Unidos. Uno de los sencillos del álbum, titulado "Modern Man's Hustle", alcanzó el puesto 18 en la lista Billboard Hot Rap Tracks.

El 20 de enero de 2009, God Loves Ugly fue relanzado con un DVD adicional que incluye cameos de Eyedea, Aesop Rock, Crescent Moon y otros. Originalmente lanzado como Sad Clown Bad Dub 4, el DVD contiene dos horas de presentaciones en vivo, apariciones especiales de invitados y videos musicales de canciones como "God Loves Ugly", "Summer Song" y "Say Shh".

Según Metacritic, un sitio web que recopila reseñas de críticos, God Loves Ugly recibió una puntuación promedio de 76 sobre 100 basada en 9 reseñas, lo que indica críticas generalmente favorables.

En 2011, "Modern Man's Hustle" ocupó el sexto lugar en la lista de las "25 mejores canciones de Rhymesayers" elaborada por Complex. En 2015, HipHopDX incluyó a God Loves Ugly como uno de los "30 mejores álbumes de hip hop underground desde 2000".

Talking Business. Song by @Dessa Sometime I decide to spend my weekend making a movie poster for a murder ballad with no verbs. I'm a big fan of Dessa and recently saw her live again. I liked the song "Talking Business'' before but seeing it live was honestly amazing. If you haven’t heard it, go listen to it! It triggered a great desire to make a movie poster for it inspired by 1940s noir movies. Is it 100% 1940s? No, but I think it is a good midpoint between that and my normal style. Also it was just fun to do a poster design, I haven't done this sort of composition in years. I just wish I could have fit the flying French press in there somewhere. I tried, I really tried.
