how to stop yourself from feeling hungry
get some nice food to munch on
have a snack
cook yourself something yum
nourish your body
make a nice sandwich
maybe have some cereal
go and get ice cream
visit a cute cafe for tea and cake
EAT SOME FOOD

drinking a can of soda is better than not drinking anything at all. “junk” food is better than no food at all. just rinsing your mouth out with mouthwash is better than no oral hygiene at all. changing into a different set of pyjamas is better than not changing at all. getting up just to sit down on the chair across the room for a bit is better than not getting up at all. changing just your pillowcase is better than not changing your bedding at all. cracking a window open is better than getting no fresh air at all.
if you don’t have enough spoons for full tasks, smaller adaptations are better than nothing at all. it’s okay if you don’t have the energy to actively fight today. just staying afloat is enough. you are enough.

Pro tip:
30-60 minutes before bed, brew 8 oz chamomile tea (0kcal) with 1 tsp honey (20 kcal) and 1 oz oatmilk (15 kcal). Drink that with a couple teddy graham crackers (42 kcal for 10 crackers). It's 77 calories for the whole snack, and it could be less if you use almond milk instead, but going to bed you won't be hungry... Also, it makes it easier to fast for 12+ hours and honey has weight loss/anti bloating properties.

Once again repurposing an already existing recipe for a single serving. This is really nice by itself, although you could also serve it with rice (or cauliflower rice), maybe throw some noodles in there, bean shoots for more volume, whatever tickles your fancy.
I mentioned the bean shoots for volume, as the cabbage wilts a little bit when cooking (especially when you add the stock at the end).

MACROS:
Carbs: 16g Fats: 9g Proteins: 15g
▸✧ ┈ ✧༺ ✩ ༻✧ ┈ ✧◂
INGREDIENTS:
70g firm tofu - 103
100g cabbage - 25
100g red capsicum - 17
1/4 cup vegetable or chicken stock - 4
1 tbsp soy sauce - 10
1/2 tsp corn flour - 12
1 clove garlic - 4
1/2 tsp grated ginger - 1
salt and pepper - 0
▸✧ ┈ ✧༺ ✩ ༻✧ ┈ ✧◂
METHOD:
Drain tofu with paper towels and cut into slices/cubes (i like cubes)
Mix stock and 1/2 tbsp soy sauce together. Take 1tbsp from this mixture into another bowl and add corn starch, mixing until combined.
On high heat stir fry tofu (you can add spray oil here if you like) for 2-3 minutes. Add 1/2 tbsp soy sauce, toss for a few seconds and set aside.
Stir fry garlic and ginger for 10 seconds. Add capsicum and stir fry until soft, then add cabbage. Season with salt and pepper and stir fry until crisp.
Return tofu to pan, stir in stock mixture until it has just about evaporated.
Stir in corn flour mixture and stir fry until ingredients are slightly glazed. Remove from heat and enjoy.

I just made the best THING EVER. THIS WHOLE PLATE IS ONLY 152 CALS.
So ive tried to like angel hair/zero/shirataki noodles for ages but I can’t. Call me dramatic but It makes me want to cry and I just cannot get past the gross texture 🤧 so I looked into RICE NOODLES. But my secret for bulk is bean sprouts, boiled!! Mixing them with the noodles (and the best part is you don’t need many noodles just keep them long and don’t break them apart for it all to mix together nicely!) and BOOM. Big bowl of cozy and normal texture noodles!! As you can see I added other things for bulk and flavour like veggies, sauces (these are my low cal ones I mix them!) and of course siracha thing (in my opinion it’s better 🤩) it’s also really good wth crunchy veggies like cucumber, carrots and Kimchi!! It’s also super filling!! You can see how much it fills a plate next to my hand (: anyway! Enjoy 🍜

Cauliflower nasi - 267 cal
Tumblr media
Ingredients:
- 200 gr riced cauliflower (52 cal)
- some butter for frying (37)
- 1 tbsp kecap manis (33)
- 1 egg (69)
- 120 gr carrot (40)
- 50 gr sweet pointed pepper (13)
- 15 gr shallot (11)
- 2 cloves of garlic (6)
- spices (I used ginger, cayenne, and paprika powder; 6)
- pepper
- salt
This makes for a very regular human dinner sized portion and it tastes so great!
You can easily cut down a bit by using soy sauce if you can’t find kecap (kecap manis is basically soy sauce with dark brown sugar/molasses added), and by using a 0 cal cooking spray, I just used what I had lying around :)
Be safe kids <3

started logging meals into an app again and god my brain really has just latched onto all the lil graphs and stats from it.
i cant stop thinking about food, planning my meals according to my fasting schedule and work shifts, balancing my macros, figuring out the perfect time to try the protein bars i bought today, thinking of different toppings for the corn thins i also bought today, how nice birthday cake quest bars look and how satisfying biting through the outer shell probably is, thinking about how maybe this obsessive behaviour might actually help me lose weight, awaiting a reply on fb marketplace for the fitbit im looking at so that i can track cals burned while playing just dance, linking my new fitbit to my meal logging app so that my intake updates with the exercise ive done
and all at the cost of doing productive things that actually matter and have an impact on other people

just weighed myself out of curiosity and im the highest weight ive ever been ;-; i dont know how thats possible bc i swear ive been eating under my tdee (under 1000 everyday even). its probably just food/water weight i hope
im gonna see if i can start making my own dinners instead of having to eat the same thing as my family. i could probably frame it to my mum as “oh i just wanna see what itd be like if i was living by myself and had to make my own food, you know just like a lil fun experiment for a month” because im so sick of trying to guess the calories in homemade meals and wanna see if i can actually lose AT LEAST .5kg a week

so my previous strategy was fasting as long as i could and then omad-ing at dinner which was not sustainable at all lol
as a baseline for fasting i wanna hit 16hrs every day, BUT i have to have a decent lunch (multiple ingredients, at least 100 cals, something that could actually pass as a “healthy” meal) and have dinner, and get as close as i can to my intake for that day. for lower intake days this means i’ll probably have to burn more cals, but i think it’ll keep me motivated and i’ll be less likely to slip up in the long run
i’ve also started following different workout vids first thing in the morning and right before bed, i have no idea how to calculate cals burned from those but they’re probably not substantial enough to count lol
here’s hoping for some visible change thru this
