Phantom let out an exaggerated sigh as he folded back like a little ragdoll and just let Ifrit hold his whole weight. "I laid in a nest all week, I cannot take it anymore. I have too much energy."

Yes, he had too much energy, but he still felt too weak to run it down. Fuck it.

His tail flicked behind him. "I love you too, you campfire. Even when you call me stinky." He once explained why 'campfire'. Every one of the fire ghouls were so different - Dew was definifely a spitfire; small, but could be dangerous if not treated well; Alpha was like a forest fire; destructive and mighty; and Ifrit was like a campfire; welcoming and safe, but only for whom light it.

"Can we just not go back to the nest? I feel like I'm going to lose my miiiiind." He coughed a bit, as he was still recovering.

The younger ghoul was sick for a week - Phantom was already used to being such a loser, enough to catch a simple human disease.

Ifrit was caring for him all week, but now that the Quint was - mostly - recovered, he dared to leave for more than a hour. So, Phantom too bored on his own, figured he'll finally get some food for himself.

He was making some toasts when Ifrit caught him in the kitchen.

"...Hi." Phantom waved with an innocent smile. He was wearing a new pair of pajamas and his hair was wet, meaning he took a shower and didn't smell like medicine anymore.

Ifrit smiled seeing his little love up and active made his heart happy. He hated knowing he was sick and there wasn't much he could do but wait and hope that the medicines he was receiving for him was going to make him better soon.

"You are up! And showered!" He chirped happily before sweeping over and kissing Phan on the forehead. It was still a little warm under his lips but not as hot as previously it had been. "Good you were becoming a stinky baby and I was going to dunk you in the baths before long."

He placed kisses all over Phan's face as he giggled before tucking him close to his chest and savored the feeling of him in his arms again. "I was really worried about you..."

Phantom pouted at being called a stinky baby. "I had no strenght to get out of bed, how could I take a shower, mhm?" He chimed, but let Ifrit baby him. He wrapped his arms around the fire ghoul's waist, getting comfy against him.

He coughed a little bit, his lungs still clearing slowly. "You don't need to. I just got fucked up during summoning and now a stupid human flu can take me down." He shrugged with a playful expression.

"Do we still have some of that cactus ice cream? The watery one?"

I'm so sorry for dissappearing for so long, my life was turned upside down basically. BUT! everything is going the way it needs to, I finally moved to the new place (which I adore), I only have 3 days left at the workplace that made me burn out... I managed to catch some kind of flu, but that's the worst thing right now.

I'm not sure when will I get back fully, but I promise I will. Love you all a lots, and I hope you all are okay and taking care of yourself. 🫶🏻

He didn't need to be told twice.

The Quintessence ghoul dived into Ifrit's nest, taking in the softness and the scent. "I can't believe I'm in a nest after so many months." He groaned. "I think they didn't upgrade the tour buses since you were on touring. My matress even had a little burnt patch."

Phantom sat up and pulled his shirt off before laying back, feeling the clean sheets on his skin. His mismatched eyes followed Ifrit, looking at him as if ge'd dissapear if he looked away.

Ifrit heard a knock on his door.

When he opened it, Phantom was standing there with a boyish grin on his face - holding a bouquet of small sunflowers wrapped up nicely. It was known that the band will come back for two weeks, but the quint wanted to suprise his love.

"Hi." He cooed, holding out the flowers for Ifrit. It was one of the rare flowers that Phantom wasn't allergic and it was.. well, it reminded him of the fire ghoul. Somehow. "Suprise?"

Ifrit yanked open the door figuring it was the last person he wanted to see. He heard she was making her rounds. As soon as his eyes fell on Phantom he stared for a long moment at the smaller of the two. His chest heaved slowly as he tried to keep his emotions in check before the soft words overran his body and cooled the fire to his core.

Instead, something else erupted. Love. Unbridled like a warm wildfire. His eyes softened and he yanked him into his touch and tucked his face into his neck as he smiled wide, happiness seeping from his pores.

"My home...you are here..."

"I missed you.." He murmured. "I've been sleeping in your shirt for the past 3 days. It stinks now." Phantom chuckled at himself.

He might've been too clingy, but Phantom missed him so much it sometimes physically hurt him. His tail whipped behind him happily, pressing himself more into Ifrit, as if he wanted to merge into the fire ghoul.

"I got these for you- " He waved the bouquet.

Now that they were done with the European leg of the tour, it was time for a bit of rest.

Phantom dragged himself off of the bus - he was too lazy to change from his sleeping clothes, so the quint was now in his pajamas as he went to get his suitcase out of the bottom of the bus.

Standing there, with a hand covering his eyes from the sun, he decided that he'll probably sleep through the whole two weeks.

"Hi Rainy. Ah, couldn't bother with it, you know." He grinned and pushed his hair back from his forehead. "And I kinda like it long."

Phantom went cross-eyed as he tried to follow the finger that booped his nose. His lips pulled into a smile, showing his fangs as he reached over to ruffle the other's hair as well.

His own mullet, already overgrown and curling a bit more than usual, was mostly in his eyes at this point.

"I expected as much. You're a fire ghoul, after all." He grinned cheekily, being annoying with his stupid humour.

Still a little dazzled from the kiss, he took his phone in his hand and scrolled down for his favorite restaurant - that luckily happened to be close to this hotel. He selected his own food, then passed the phone over to Ifrit. "I have Copia's card saved. Chose anything you want."

He purred and rolled over at his shoulder. "So.. which one of us will dress up for when the food arrives?" Phantom tilted his head curiously, his eyes wandering over Ifrit once again.

Bursting through the door he gets tackled and smooched all over his face by an oversized excitable puppy ghoul (that runs a little to warm for his own good when excited)

Phantom was totally caught off guard - he almost fell as he caught the fire ghoul.

"How- how did you get here?!" He stuttered, but even though his suprise, the joy was clear in his voice.

He wrapped his arms tightly around him, his tail wagging excitedly - he couldn't help but run his hands over his back and arms, taking him in to confirm that he was really there.

A shiver went down on his spine as he felt Ifrit's teeth at his neck. "If you continue that, we won't order any food." He chuckled, his hand found the small of Ifrit's back and teasingly dipped under the towel. "This bed seems comfy enough.."
